How about instead of Yes and No buttons on the confirmation, you have buttons that read "I DO want to cause wide spread panic such as this organization has never seen", and "I DO NOT....."
we should be encouraging people to use EVs and hybrids, even if you don't believe in global warming there's no question that our dependence on imported oil is a drain on our economy. Now if we get to the point that everyone is using EVs and there's not enough gas being sold to support our roads, then we should look at alternatives. But we're years away from that, for now jacking the gas tax is the best way to go, and the simplest.
Shouldn't that be "yet another delay"? Given DNF's (incredibly long) track record, the odds of this being its last delay are infinitesimal. Heck, I'm betting that once I buy it the installer will get to 99% and hang.

"Influenced by environment" combined with genetic mutations are the foundations of natural selection. How does that challenge evolution?
I spent 4 hours on a bus listening to half of Cletus' conversation with his girl friend back in Possum Hollow, as entertaining as it was I'd rather not relive it every frickin time I travel. Trains should be equipped with cell blockers, a few hours without service won't kill you.
the notion that you have the right to cuss out your boss via Facebook does not sit well with me. Posting on facebook is not the same as griping amongst your coworkers, it's more like putting up a billboard. Would anyone expect not to be fired if they posted placards all over town describing what a jerk their boss was? According to TFA, she posted an expletive-filled rant that included personal attacks on her supervisor. I'd like to see the supervisor sue her for libel and recover all booty she gets from the company.
...is hardly a qualification for the prize. Yeah, I get that "peace" is part of the name, but promoting peace, paradoxically, does not mean ducking controversy.
From the summary "he can't risk being surrounded by people his own age," implying that if he's surrounded by older or younger people that's just peachy. I realize this is slashdot, but come on!

Continental appears to have done some statistical analysis and found gamers are more likely to be involved in a collision. In other words, people who like to drive fast and take risks like to play games that involve driving fast. What are the odds?
OK, so who cares about your achievements other than you? Seriously, are these guys trying to impress their friends with their bogus achievements? I can actually see an autistic kid doing this, since trouble parsing relationships is a classic symptom, but what's anyone else's excuse? That's just pathetic.
When I had Qwest DSL, the tech who came out when my service failed happened to mention that my house was several hundred feet beyond the DSL spec from their office. He determined that the problem was in their office, but being a weekend he had no way to get into the office to fix it. But that didn't stop Qwest service from closing my trouble ticket, so I had to spend another hour going through their phone tree to get another tech to come out and go through the process again. And then when I terminated my service they tried to charge me for not returning the modem that I bought from them months earlier. They hire nice folks, but it's clueless bureaucracy hell.
I hate Comcast, but when it comes to broadband I'll take evil over nincompoops.
He had no life outside of work and didn't mind putting in crazy hours, so he expected that from his employees. 10-12 hours a day, plus a day or two on the weekends. Everyone was burned out, exhausted, and looking for something better. I could see going to the boss and saying "Look, if you have some features in mind that need to get implemented ASAP then count me in for 30 days. But if we keep that up for more than a month I'm going to burn out, and that does neither of us any good." I'd ask for stock too. If the company fails, he's not out anything, if it takes off you've earned the right to share in its success.
There's a book called "I Been There Before" about Twain reappearing when the comet came back in the late 20th century. Worth a read if you're a Twain fan.
if they tell themselves "I am a good person, I can do better" AND THEN THEY DO BETTER, they're not delusional at all.
Pretending "nigger" wasn't in common usage in the American south in the mid-nineteenth century....that's delusional. Sorry to disappoint you, but sweeping problems under the rug does not make them go away.

I work at a university too, and you're right about all ten!

Since no one actually knows precisely how warm it's going to get, how can you say the problems are exaggerated?
I thought TPM couldn't possibly suck more, but in crappy 3D, it will. Congratulations George for doing the impossible.
The post consists of one sentence with 53 words! You can't expect him to look at all of those words before posting!

I don't have an xbox so please enlighten me.
I've had it with Obama's across-the-board corporatist appointments. 3rd party in 2012.

I'm not sure I'd call being elected the Mayor of Oakland "winning".
...here's a great site about the creation of the vehicle used in the TV series.

Well played!

Pretty much everywhere? I just checked, not to my house.
