I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in making the job easier for NSA and writing them where I'll be having lunch tomorrow, since they already listen to my phone.

A similar incident happened in Slovenia a year ago, where an Australian (moved there after WW2) published the list of people who spied and people who were beeing watched by the Yugoslavian secret police UDBA. First the government tried to block access to the list's server, but soon all the people who were interested learned how to use a proxy connection. Their server was slashdotted for a month, becuse the idiot put the list in 800K jpg pictures and so the whole thing was something like 40 GB and difficult to search. After the initial "shock" in the media and public, a month after nobody, there was hardly any interest for the list anymore.
Since Sloncek means "little elephant" this must be a bi-partisan effort;)
Sites like Slovenia-based Suprnova (http://www.suprnova.org) offer up thousands of different torrents without storing the shows themselves.
Suprnova is a treasure trove of movies, television shows, and pirated games and software. Funded by advertising, it is run by a teen-age programmer who goes only by the name Sloncek, who did not respond to an e-mailed interview request.
I didn't know Tux was Australian.
Such a system already exists. It has been used in Slovenia for about 10 years. It was developed by Ultra d.o.o. and is called Moneta/M-pay.
Our national broadcaster (Radio-Television Slovenia) already provides its programme via the proprietary p2p technology called Octoshape.
This concept has already been tried in socialist Yugoslavia.
