This idea is a follow-up yet it's something we should be following very seriously. Right now, a country station gets to pay Madonna/Celine Dion because they sell the most albums. This could change all that!

I think it's the mpeg1/2/4 decoding chip that needs a little work. Since the c3 is a little underpowered in floating point operations, the extra mpeg chip is great, if only there was an open driver for it - which is exactly what is happening.
Actually, you mean http://textbook.wikipedia.org/ I think. I'm writing a similar software... right now it's handling a pool hall, but it's very flexible. I'll try and get back to Brian when I've got something more definitive to his domain.

You mean like Damn Small Linux ? That's a debian derivatives, but only 50MiB.
