so 8 years the GOP drove the economy into the ground and you expect it to recover in what 1 year? Not realistic. You have to undo all the crap the GOP did before anything at all would trend differently (like giving more and more money to the rich who don't spend it). But now the GOP is back and has promised jobs so where are they?

your not paying attention. The last 8 years of GOP rule were a complete fiscal disaster with government spending going through the roof. Sad that people don't look to see what they did last time they were in a position of power. Voter backlash does not create jobs. Will be interesting to see if the GOP can create any jobs with no plan.

the executives trying to use crap like this as an excuse as to why there are poor sales are some day going to have to come to terms with the fact that their product sucks. Want to improve sales? Here is a guaranteed money maker, "End movie ads before the movie". The movie theater I go to did and now that is the only one I go to. Improve your product and quit making excuses.

what are you talking about? "In Rainbows" would have never gotten that kind of marketing any other way and it is still selling. And everyone knows bands make most of their money from their concerts so in cutting out their record company, EMI, they kept a much larger percentage of the earnings than they would have gotten from a traditional release. It was a huge success for them.

  14. the other trend on Comic Sales Soar After Artist Engages 4chan Pirates · · Score: 3, Insightful

is people like gene simmons and lars ulrich trying to convince executives that the real reason their sales suck is because of piracy. I guess this pretty much destroys that line of thinking.

  16. Re:Headline Is So Very Wrong on How Google Avoided Paying $60 Billion In Taxes · · Score: 3, Interesting

Not true. The poor spend everything they make, many living paycheck to paycheck. They pay consumption taxes on almost everything they make so at a minimum they pay 10% of their earnings in taxes. Way more than the typical rich person that saves the majority of their earnings and then cheats the system with tax loopholes.
