    because I doubt you can afford to lobby the US Government to get these favorable tax laws created. It pushes the burden to working families who cannot afford it and is unfair and wrong.

    There seems to be an endless need to give tax breaks to companies that don't need them, but any time there is a perceived subsidy to working families Congress moves to squish it. Are people going back to brick and mortar stores? Nope, so this is just squeezing people who cannot afford to pay, because they cannot afford to lobby like giant companies.

    The tsa needs to be abolished. US Citizens should not be treated like prisoners in their own country. And visitors should not be treated this poorly either, it is embarrassing. And more importantly, it does not make anyone safer, distracts from focusing on actual security.

    to upgrade you can't let your package manager just grab the latest java runtime. You have to login to oracle and click "accept" before you can download it. I am switching to icetea.

    when big media starts reporting things like "are we safe?" to fear monger then they cross over into exploiting a tragedy for their own gain. They should have any profits reaped taken from them when they do this. I noticed big media like CNN was not included in this list and they should be absolutely. They are the worst at it.

    just like Apple getting rid of drm on mp3s, Netflix would be a lot more successful if they get rid of the drm and allow people to watch content on whatever device they want to. I know I would watch a lot more if they did not limit their content to only certain devices and software stacks.

    it is actually a relevant comment. You can hurt people with lots and lots of things, but instead of concentrating on the people that do this kind of stuff, crazy or religious nuts there is a huge distraction on "things" like guns. The focus needs to be on people.

    not sure the logic in that the tsa takes a lot of time, but you saying they don't cause people to miss their flights? Would more people make their flight if they did not have to deal with the tsa? Yes, they would.

    the tsa is the problem. Get rid of the tsa that is doing nothing to improve actual security and you would have better thruput in the airport.

    the tsa is not a business. They don't care if you fly and it is actually in their interest to discourage you from traveling. and the tsa is not going to give up their power even though their actions are completely useless.
