Methane(CH4) is 21 times more powerful of a greenhouse gas then CO2 when you consider the total contribution over 100 years. There is far less methane causing a greenhouse effect then CO2 but it means pound for pound you need to worry about methane more. The point is that the old problem we knew about in the atmosphere was small particle pollution. Ironically the small particles in the air have been shielding us from the full effect of global warming through a process coined as global dimming. Even though the earth is more of a greenhouse now it is in fact getting less sunlight overall, this means that some of our models about how much CO2 relates to a certain tempurature chance in the atmosphere might be off. The terrible part is that we might undervalue CO2 and other greenhouse gasses' effect on global warming.
WoW starts at 70. I dont know why so many epople think the game is about leveling. I have spent at least 10 times as much time in WoW at max level than leveling. WoW is nota game you can graduate at, that is the beauty of it. Many people are upset with blizzard becuase they keep adding content forever. If you want to beat a game go play a console and be done with it, i personally enjoy how WoW never ends, the only goal is really to compete with other guilds and players in raid progression and pvp smack talking.
Russia has vastly different copyright laws than the USA. You cant just assume he knew it was illegal in Russia just becuase you know it is illegal in the USA. There are many things that are legal in Russia that people fullyy understand that we could hardly imagine as being legal. The fact that the teacher thought copying software for non-commercial education use is not hard for me to imagine.
The point originally was that porn was blocking out the regular shopping sites, this was evidence of a need for a.xxx TLD. This is just not needed at all. If your not looking for porn its not going to prevent you from finding what you want.
I googled "lingerie" just now with "moderate safe search" set to off (for science of course). I dont see a single porn site on the first page. In fact i only see links stores selling lingerie and 1 link to the wikipedia entry for lingerie. Where is the problem? This is the problem with the whole.XXX arguement. It is not hard to avoid porn online if you want to avoid porn. If you want to keep your kids away from sex ITS NOT GOING TO WORK. They will find a way to find it.
You cant deface money and attempt to use it in commerce. Meaning you cant try and change the dollar value on the bill.
As for destroying your own moeny you absolutly may do that if you want. A dollar bill is essentially a recepit for a loan you have given the government. If you destroy your recepit then they keep all the money. Im sure most of us have heard that whenever to TOTAL votes goes up its good for the dems. The GOP wants more ignorance, more apapthy, and less votes. That is how they win.
Anyone who understands economics will know that when you increase consumption of something it spurs research and development for the related technology. If there is money to be made by making faster networks it will be done by someone.
I cant see how the average user's consumption coming in line with my already high bandiwdth usage would be bad. I am constantly torrenting, streaming, downloading, and playing WoW. As more people do all of these things it means i have a better chance of getting an even better connection.

We cant put aside people that are different or else nobody will be left. We need to find reasonable measures to protect the population and i think we can agree that not having peanut butter in school is not a big deal. If you said not having wheat in school then maybe thats pushing it but peanut butter is not required for anyone in school to have.
The same goes for tobacco. Nobody needs to have tobacco, it is a choice to use it and its not a choice if it effects you negativly.

There are plenty of people who cant sing in key or even on the right note who can compose music with their voice live. Also even before sampling there was photography art that relied on making inital perfect copies of someone else's work and distorting them. The key is that the end work is an original creation that required the creator to have a perfect copy of someone else's work.
Consumer demands will always be fufilled if there is a profitable way to do so. With all technology increasing exponentially over time there is no limit to how much progress we can make. There is also no limit to how much progress we want.
It never was about piracy. It has always been about controling your customer. The industry knows that they dont lose nearly as much through piracy as they do by not controlling their consumers. Remember a consumer is a customer with no choice.
The USA holds considerable power of much of the internet. Whether or not they can weild the popwer against the wishes of other is debatable but the original post was made as a joke anyway.
