FLQ has been a key group in Quebec's history. and personnaly I'd hate to see its name get dirty because of game that gives a false image of them.
I couldn't care less about FLQ's goals but I do respect what they did or at least what they tried to achieve because, back then, it mattered very much.
I choose to post this because I saw a lot of discriminatory and flames in this thread about Quebec and I find it very sad that you (americans) ask for respect everywhere you walk but can't give the same respect to your neighbors.
The real reason why windows gets so many attacks is because most of them comes from
1. wanna-be script kiddies running in windows and practicing some new skills to show off
2. Hardcore hackers/programmers running linus that do it only for the heck of finding, yet, a new hole in windows.
Even if im running windows, I find it amusing to see just how much the linux "society" is determined to prove itself right againt the $oftware giant.
Was there ever a virus exclusively for linux ? Like the article says, I believe linux users just like to believe they're safe, when in reality, no matter its quality, linux is a product made by human, thus flawed, thus opened to attacks.

Select any amount of code, on the left margin will be a black vertical line as long as your selection.
This line will be delimited by two small grey boxes (not sure how to call them)
Click on one of these boxes to hide your selected code, thus creating a collapsed tag.
However, by all means, I DO NOT recommend using this feature since its slow as hell!! I have a somewhat decent computer and I really notice a difference in speed when working with collapsed tags.
Instead, you may want to use bookmarks (using CTRL-K to set and CTRL-SHIFT-K to cycle thru)
I'm just speculating here but for all we know, this could be a plan from Sony just to freak out the XBox team.
IMO, Nintendo is not really in the console war even though their GC is somewhat respectable.

As in any industry, there are severals variants of a job. Each variants having more or less tasks involved than another.
I'd be insulted if I was a Software Engineer and that someone would call me a Programmer.
The Software Engineer thinks about all the design, the high-level thinking required to have all the pieces of a software tie together.
If I was a programmer, I'd actually be writing the code according to the design & schematics thatthe software engineer guy made.
Of course, LOTS of programmer have the bad habit of boosting their own jobs just to look more "powerful".
I can still remember what my old teacher used to tell me : A square is a rectangle but a rectangle isn't a square.
So.... A software engineer is a programmer but a programmer isn't a software engineer.

When we started coding, it didn't went all so smoothly, we had our share of technical problems but we knew exactly what we were aiming and why we were. If the programming seemed too hard then we'd go back to design thinking that if its so hard its because we didn't think it right.
Ironically, now that I have a good understanding of the need to design, design, design ever and ever again I find myself on a pretty big project where the boss does not seem to understand the needs for design.
And man....how many time did I say : "Designing an architecture is not simply designing a database structure".
Often, too often, we have to come back on decisions we took because we forgot this or that business rule.
...and every time I keep "whining" for more design and he keeps saying that this is not how things works nowadays.
So now....we have a working product. All patched up to make up for the things we forgot. I did the best I could with what we had while respecting my boss's decisions.
...but, I don't even want to my name associated with it.

It was proved that the person was mentally instable. Let's just say he had a lower IQ than the average person and was socially rejected (IRL)
That, IMO, is an isolated case. *Most* EQ players have a more normal life with more normal behaviors and reactions to social situations.
Alcool, Drugs, Speed, Gaming, Sex, Violence, they all cause dependance at one point or another. Everybody has a different level of tolerance for each of these dependance (exception made for violence).

Gambling provides some sort of shelter for the financially unstable people. EQ (or Asheron's Call for that matter) provides a social shelter for socially rejected people. If that shelter crumbles, so does your stability.
IMO, the only reason why people are on a EQ boycott spree is because the mother of the child made it public.
Anyone can tell that, to a mentally unstable person, anything can get deadly, even a computer game.
