proletariat was actually the Marxist term for what we consider to be the working class.
technically he didnt use Marxist terminology then, of course, his education probably wasn't paramount considering he went to an Ivy League school and works at the "docks".
1. China is part of the U.N. Security Council, and as one of it's permanent members, has absolute veto power. On top of the fact that Security Council mandates are the ONLY thing any member of the U.N. MUST follow, Security Council mandates serve as an indicator of what a given nation can do. If the U.S. alienates China, they lose a major political chip and support from the other U.N. nations.
2. Big economy, good military. A U.S. for the rest of us. The other guy is right too, they're one of the eight powers with nuclear capability.
3. The U.S. is more of a reactionary nation than anything else. That's why I don't think our foreign policy is all that great. Granted, we get what job needs to be done done when we're shafted (Pearl, 9/11) or annoyed (Cold War, 'nuff said), but we're not big on preemptive efforts. We like to deal with the problems as they come...such a failing.
According to Apple, the CPU can access the RAM twice per clock cycle, which (they claim) gives you up to 2.7 GB/s throughput - twice as much as PC-133 RAM.
that's not just apple...thats everyone. thats what DDR memory does, allow for access on the rise and fall of every clock cycle.
you get reduced rate for bulk mailings. X pieces of mail get delievered for 37 cents minus Y amount of discount depending on how much X is. I used to know what the discounts were (my dad worked for the USPS) but not since they changed teh price.
just because there is competition impeding the acquisition of a monopoly doesn't mean that the business isn't trying to gain one. and i'm 18, so it's apparent that i didn't learn this in law school. however, it makes sense, no?
i think it's safe to say that nvidia (yeah, screw their damn capital letter, the bums) is profitable. that leaves only 2 to be done, so any action taken by nvidia would be a concerted effort to gain a monopoly.
you guys are slashdotting my community (Ars). simmah down now!
i don't know what world your living in but most of teh chicks i go to class with would still jump on it if given the chance.

i wish i could moderate an entire topic. this doesnt need to be here when we have google.
Three reasons come to mind
1. China is part of the U.N. Security Council, and as one of it's permanent members, has absolute veto power. but that's just me
I'd much rather have a cookie-cutter hero chosen from a selection of eight and given a four letter name behind the wheel.
I don't think much logging is done for teh prupose of fuel refining...
touche!!!
isn't that the core, not the actual chip size?
i live in the south...im not a redneck...

they pulled the registry cleaner because it was made of PEOPLE!!!!! PEEEOOOPLEEEEEE!!!!!!!
i dont believe there's a single science question anywhere within that wonderful book of questions and no brainers
besides, why the hell can't i pretend to know everything like everyone else on /.?

the point of any business is to
1) make money
2) once 1 is done, gain a monopoly

at level 6 quality i still thought a 192 mp3 was better. anymore than q6 and the point of ogg is moot. btw the q6 ogg was bigger than the 192 mp3
not to me...it sounds rather poor in quality to me. 192k/bit mp3 compared to a level 6 ogg.
