Except they aren't. I'm 6'3" and 250lbs & I have a large Aeron (you did know they were sized, didn't you?) It's too small. The seat squab is too narrow and at the end of the day my upper thighs are very sore from sitting on the edges of the squab. I stole an ordinary office chair from a meeting room and that's far superior. And the $150 leather "Captains Chair" I bought in Office World for home use is better again. All those who didn't manage to steal one when MP3.com went down; don't worry - they aren't worth the hassle.

Boring but true. I've had to reboot my iPaq more times per day, in the week I've owned it, than I've had to reboot my Psion 5MX in the entire 5 years I've owned *that*. And the builtin iPaq apps suck by comparison, too. The handwriting recognition is pretty neat, though. Far superior to the Palm I also rejected in favour of the Psion.

Interesting post. I have travelled on the Acela Express a few times (between NY & Philly) and by train in Europe & the UK (I'm a Brit with parents who live in the USA). If the Acela Express *was* designed and built specifically for the US market, the design was plagiarised from European ones, and I can superficially see no difference between it and European designs. Interestingly, several British train operators are suing train manufacturers for poor reliability.
