Reasonable perspective my ass, go back 200 years, give them these weapons, and we would be fighting in Iraq right now w/ stick clubs (assuming anyone would still be alive after all that "reasonable self-restraint" history has shown us)

Thats not the problem w/ Linux ease-of-use. Most of the common distro's (SuSE, Mandrake, Redhat, etc) all have GUI's, and are click-click. And all the initial installing = super easy.

The problem comes AFTER installation. Have you ever tried to get a complete computer n00b to install programs? I mean, sometimes its hard enough to get .rpm's to install through the GUI (i use the CLI , at least then it tells me whats wrong). Now, try to explain to somebody how to use a .tar.gz file (never mind that barely ANY gui's work right extracting those.)

k, we've lost 60% of your computer users, at least. Now factor in that most good linux come in 60 different formats, + source code (don't even think you're going to get someone to learn to use source code, its not happening)

Do you see the problem? These people have trouble using windows! We DESPERATLY need to streamline program installation in linux...and i'm gonna stop ranting now...k...

You see, in binary, you have 1/0, or on/off. Fairly self explanitory. However ,add two more states. What are they? 1/2 on and 1/2 off? Almost on? Electricity only works to ways, so adding two digets to binary to make quaternary would be almost infeasable...

Since when does blockbuster edit its movies/games/etc? I had a friend blab on about this the other day. I rent things from BB and have NEVER noticed a cut / edit / etc that wasn't in the full movie, and I rent a variety of films (Gladiator, SPR, Kite, etc.)

Another rumor going around is that Blockbuster doesnt rent out "M" rated games, because it cuts down on customers, which is also total bullshit. I rent M rated games (every Resident Evil game ever made,Eternal Darkness) all the time. So before you people go bashing blockbuster, how bout you actually RENT something from them?
