Speaking of Adobe products, my GF happens to work for them, she is a whitebox tester, on InDesign ( which is the competitor to Quark ). They happen to be cathcing up with Quark, who has been entrenched in the profesional publication business for a long time, the reason, Quark has yet to release a OSX version, and will never release one that works seamlessly with Photoshop/Illustrator with easy to learn intuitive, consistent, GUIs.
... OTOH, it is slightly harder to find new versions of Illustrator on KazAa for mac.

    Public Radio
Is a great alternitive to the likes of ClearChannel and such. I live in Seattle and everyone I work/run/hang out/playfrisbee/frag with listens almost exclusively to KEXP a local public radio station that grew out of the UW, and is now funded in part by Paul Allen.
KEXP offers an excellent selection of online formats for listening to the station, including MP3/WMP(56K and 96K ) RealAudio and an Uncompressed 128K stream ( in WMA :( ). Also they offer the ability to listen to any show from the last two weeks, stored in their archives, or any live band that comes on which sometimes have included biggies like RadioHead/AfroCelt SoundSystem and local favorites like Minus the Bear/Death Cab for Cutie/Rhett Miller/Doves/Dear John Letters/Flaming Lips/Supersuckers in addition to the excellent programming and specialoty shows.

What's the point one might ask? Everyone listens to it, there are no commercials, everyone goes to the shows, and the artists are genuinely happy to have a forum for their music.
It is my hope that these bands, and the station, will keep themselves afloat by offering downloads as a part of subscribing to the station.

    Ok, that's all I got...

I have read a many of teh comments about the EOL from RedHat ( here and NewsForge ), and nowhere did I see that one had to actaully re-install the entire server. I often just use the "update" option on my latest RH CD.
Is this somehow no longer allowed, or do things change too much?

Damn straight. They follow too closely in the shadow of RedHat

Especailly now with the very Desktop Orineted RH8, with the controversial unifying theme. If Mandrake were to stay alive they should have beaten red hat to this sort of thing, and come out with some useful stuff, besides an installer that is needlessly graphical.
However, I would say that it is still the best intro Distro, and should be sold as such, maybe bundled with a computer?
