U.S. players in 11 states won't be able to wager any money due to laws against fee-based online gaming. The states are Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, Tennessee and Vermont.
So I can go to Vegas, get wasted and play craps, but can't head over the nickel quake machines? This sucks, I would much rather play some FPS than the slots that ALWAYS take my money, no matter how many rum and cokes (20/day) I've had.
I have to plug the fact that a CLI is by far the best way of opening programs, barring voice activation. With a CLI I can type "oo{TAB}{ENTER}" and office starts. With a GUI I have to find my mouse, then move it around to Foo->Bar->Foo2->OpenOffice to open something.
I just like the fact that with a CLI I can pretty much just talk to my computer, telling it to find things, or grep for things, or whatever.
So, if I actually know something about my computer, like what a "service" is, or how to type "chmod og-rwx" as opposed to being a corporate person?
Since I trust my computer right now, both my win and lin boxes, but that's cause I know what I'm doing. I would not trust my computer if I was a dumbass, but not dumbass enough to know to not trust my computer.
In terms of reliability I typically have uptimes of upwards of 100days, usually I update my kernal at that time...
So, I guess I have already achieved Trustworthy computer.
I'm pretty sure that you could do something liek this now. You mention Quark as the formatter of choice, but Adobe's InDesign is far better, and works on your OS X macs too, unlike Quark. In addtion you can get InCopy, which just allows for the editing of the text in an InDesign document. I would check it out, and if they don't have exactly what you want, tell them.
Someone who is spending 7 figures for a system from IBM is NOT thinking about downloading some distro to run on their fancy hardware.
Oh yeah? I bet that if it is some hacker turned IT manager that is the first thing he thinking of...Dream Sequence: Wow..DeepBlue! I bet this thing will kick as$ at Q3A/D3/New Game Being Made the people this article is asking for/WC3 all at the same time! Dream Sequence
I second Doug Naka's opinion entirely! At work people are constantly asking me how come my Desktop looks so nice, and performs so well. Especially functions like being able to switch desktops by scrolling my mouse wheel, way more efficent than any sort of GUI kludge.
I am now waitin for E17 to get up to snuff, so I can use it, since I actaully got it to work, and re-installed all of my fonts so I could read the menus...and when it is done it will be the slickest thing out there, no question. Go Raster and bunch.

Since my experience has been mostly in a biology lab where we have tons of legacy apps that run only on MacOS classic,
OK, ten bucks its older PerkinElmer/PE/ABI sequencer software. That's where I learned macs.

Funny enough, the last app you installed on windows was a virus and in *nix you realized that something wanting you to "rm -R /" was bad.

Well, I think I KNOW what he means.
in that case, since I often have several compiles going on at once, in addition to many other apps, I should be getting paid 10x what I am now.
Won't that make it Win2013-Win2018? I mean, yeah, win95 blows chunks, but win2018 is going to ROCK!!!
at least until win2020 comes...
This is very funny, shoulda kept my mod points.

Wow! Imagine having multiple cuts/copies stored, as many as 12!! That sure beats my emacs buffer of several 100...oh wait.
Yeah, it took me at least 30 seconds to remember that CVS existed.

P.S. but you knew that, since I tell you in person most days
WTF is the "wrong" way? Twisting?
