Funny, I was thinkng sorta the same thing, if one actually looks at the about page on the site you will find that they are a For Profit company1 (Oh the horror!) Personally I think capitalism makes the world go around, whats wrong with making a living? Not to get too far off topic but I think government regulation should be based on how large a businees is. I.E, a startup like them, should have miniaml regulation and the Mirosofts and Wall-Marts should be regulated to the hilt. If done properly it would allow innovation while making it difficult to become a monopoly.
Hmm.. Good point, thats what sucks about the people who make the laws that the other 99% of us have to follow while for various reasons they are effectively exempt from them. Surely they must have personal cars though.
Well, I for one think it's a GREAT idea ! Although just maybe they should have a test run or something... all the reps should have them installed in thier own cars for a year or so and then tell us how it worked out.
No Tht's not it, here it is !

Probably one of the first things I would think of upon receving an email like this is that my credit union would send snailmail to inform customers about something this important. the second thing I would probably think is how would people not online get this important information? Also with all the email scams that get circulated, in my company they constantly send Notes informing people to watch for SCAMS (this would seem to cover just about anybody who works in a cube-farm) but STILL people fall for crap like this! It's apparent that critical thinking skills are no longer taught in school and that might be the real problem.
Are the RFID tags they're talking about that much different than the anti-theft tags that have been in use for years, I always thought those were RFID, no?
Ahh.. the casio C80!
My Aunt was in the Marines and in the late 70's to early 80's she was stationed in Japan. Anyway I got one for Christmas in 79 For a couple of months I was the only kid around who had one ! Teachers, classmates, friends and thier parents were quite intrigued, it was several months until the watches made it to the states
Scary Aint it ?! Me too. Used to joke about AM being A$$&*^# Modulation Sutible only for the VERY old, you know like 35 and older! (shudder as I realize the 35th B-Day is coming round the corner like a frieght train !)

This Should work but you also want to read the contex...
"Some RF coils, such as surface coils, have failure modes which can cause burns to the patient. The animation window contains a picture of an RF burn to the elbow of a man's arm. The patient's arm was against the wall of a body coil being operated in a transmit mode with a surface coil as the receiver. A malfunction in the body coil caused the third degree RF burn. The burn first appeared as a simple blister and progressed to a charring that had to be surgically removed. The surgeon excised a volume approximately 3 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm deep. Therefore, if you are operating an imager and your patient or volunteer tells you he or she is experiencing a burning sensation, stop the scan. Additionally, care should be taken to keep RF imaging coils in proper operating order."
And until fairly recently there wasn't a patent and sue everybody as a business model mentality. the Patent system is REALLY REALLY broken and the government and corporations aren't motivated to fix it. It's now a plaything for the wealty.
Hey Microsoft will now support it til 06 right ?! Thats 8 years of support.
With the Evil RedHat people Dropping support in only 2 years
Does that mean Microsoft good, RedHat Evil ? (Oh the Humanity !)
It's not so much weather I belive it (It was a joke, and an old one at that) but what the average internet CONSUMER belives. And Seriously, NATing of users could be the answer to all kinds of 'problems', P2P comes to mind. Here is an interesting question, if say Comcast decided t NAT all thier customers. how many would notice the difference? Those of us who would notice would be wasting our breath with customer support. (Ever argue with them that the internet wasn't just the WWW ?
Yea,, but as he pointed out the percentage of internet users verses internet consumers is quite different. I.E. your isp could give a S#*! if they lose you, an internet USER . you probably suck up more bandwith than 50 internet CONSUMERS ! Remeber, the internet did not exist before Al invented it and before Bill invented the PC thingey that you can now buy at WALL MART. Also if you know how to get a SHELL or if you know any commands such as 'NET SEND' you're probably an EVIL hacker anyway and will likely be barred from using computers by your govrenment anyway (As Soon as our corporate funded government finishes assimilating your government)
Yea.. But he is not talking about your NAT box, he is talking about the trend of ISP's using NAT and giving users non Routable IP addresses. Sort of like AOL. I Suppose you could just call your ISP Customer service and ask them nicely to open up Port XXXX on thier NAT for your 192.168.X.X IP that they assigned you:)

but of course with all those years of "public service" by Mr GinBlossom has made up for it.
