2 of your questions have no merit at all.
1) Do you ever think of the person whose job you have taken?
Is it this Indian techies fault that he took someone's job and he should think about it either remorsefully or happily? I took someone elses job once. I applied to that company, they saw my resume fit a position they had, and hired me. That position was already filled though, but the guy was commanding atleast double wage to what I was going to be making. So they laid him off. Should I feel guilty about taking his job? Why should I? I applied, the company hired me, and that's the end of that.
2) How does it feel to be a pawn in the hands of a corporation that's being used to drive down wages and living conditions for the entire western world?
Pawn? Yeah the corporations have a secret agenda, it's called Agenda 2B4-Tfv which states that "We will do whatever possible to drive down wages and living conditions for the entire western world, and if necessary, hire pawns in India to do so"
Is it true that for a document to have some merit, it has to be either hand delivered, faxed or mailed? If you email a document, it can't be presented as evidence in court? I thought that is why Fax is still being used to send out invoices, because if a dispute arises, a court will accept a faxed document as authentic, while an emailed document would be susicious to forgery.
I agree. At work we use a dot matrix printer to print shipping forms that have to be signed. It just prints on one, and using carbon paper, it makes 2 other copies. The benefit of this comes when you sign the top copy and all 3 have the signature on them. With laser printer and making seperate copies, we had to sign 3 papers. So signing 100 copies would become signing 300 copies.
It runs under Human 68K, an operating system which looks like CP/M 68 or MSDOS and uses a graphic user interface called VS.
Notice that the development is still active on that computer, several OSes have been ported on the X68000, the most famous are Minix and Unix NetBSD and all the GNU tools and there are some projects under development : XNeptune (a Ethernet card) or Ko-Windows (a 'NextStep-like' graphic environment).
Sweet design too.
Yep, had to mention "Lucasfilm's" in your post, because oooooooooh you send emails to people at Lucasfilm's. Wow, big geek factor, you must be worshipped, ooh ahh.
I wonder about this question too. When I bought my PS2, I was so careful with it, dusting it everyday, being very gentle with it and what not. And then there were people who opened up their PS2 the first day they got it, and a couple of weeks later there were mod chips out.

but this is an overkill. What kind of people use computers? Educated ones. In india, everyone who is educated knows basic English, enough to make out what all those menus mean.
And I don't exactly see the coolness or geek factor of this thing. Just replaced English labels with Hindi? That has been done in Saudi Arabia and all those Arab countries for a long long time, just in Arabic. All govt. computing in Arab countries is done in Arabic. How is that any different from this?
You say that you are going on a world tour on your bike. This is Slashdot, anything mentioned here must have a website associated with it. So where is your website and photos of your bike?
What kind of parties are these? I can imagnin hoards and hoards of nerds wearing t-shirt and denim shorts drinking Mountain Dew, all talking about computers.
If anyone is hiring for such a position (game tester), then I would be interested. I am a senior computer science major, set to graduate in May 2003. I am looking for a full time position. I am an avid gamer and would enjoy such a position.

Yeah I hope so too. But the thing is, Dell.com charges tax on it's purchases if it is purchased through their small business unit.
Will someone think of the children!!

So the Muslim population doesn't want an economic bloom? Explain.
did that get out my pants.

Won't a suite of such software do the trick?

Now I know. The uber geeks on slashdot. Sheeesh!
This shall be my first reply!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So just because some insignificant feature was hiddena and some geek found it, Slashdot deems it frontpage material?
How do I get to mod other people? I am new here and just wondering about this whole Karma thing. How do I check other people's Karma?
The question is why do we need something like this?

I hardly ever need tech support.
Looks like fun.
