Don't you all hate that whole "sigh... mod me up" BS? Every troll does it nowadays. And yes, he is a troll. The truth is, MANY people are bothered by dead pixels, only the meek fanboys would stand by a screen with more than 2, most people wouldn't put up with 1 on a 250$ peice of new hardware. And the psp is in no way "BEATING" as he puts it. The DS has more sales, period. Sure the psp has more sales in japan since january, but those are ridiculous terms for determining dominance, the DS has more sales total than psp in japan, and worldwide. So to recap; DS has more total sales, regardless of region specified, than psp. Dead pixels ARE noticeable on such a small screen. And finally, to further condemn the parent as a troll, observe thier comment about nintendo being kiddy, hmm, is that there to inflame maybe? sigh...
I myself am even more looking forward to meteos on NDS, made by the same people, and it got a 38/40 on famitsu (an amazing score, 6 point higher than lumines iirc).
You must live in a high population density area, there are tonnes of PSP stuff, including systems, here. And game dedicated stores like gamestop/EB always sell out of stuff early, everybody goes there first, but the walmarts and other places usually have stuff left.

It's sickening how the RCMP tried to leverage this event to their financial benefit. Sort of like how GWB had those 9/11 election ads,/vomits...
And not to mention that it'd suck to have to hold the thing upright for 2 hours to watch a movie, hadly relaxing. I'd get a nice 12inch laptop for the purposes this thing has, and general puprose computing along with that!
And that's probably exactly why is targetting this game, it doesn't want anymore examples that developers can point to when thinking of releasing a game for gamecube and ps2.
Often exclusivity deals don't involve getting paid, but getting reduced liscensing fees. So if it only costs namco 50% of the liscensing fees to sony, is it worth the lost revenue from the other platforms they could sell the game to? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. And sometimes companies get threatened by the platform owner if they don't go exclusive, like either go exclusive or we raise your liscensing fees on all your games a few percent, sony has been known to play hardball with developers like this before.
But now in the xbox era, the playground kids will be embarassed to play a "kiddie" game. Sure a mature gamer can love a fun nintendo game, but the insecure youths in the schools will be pressured to brag about the carnage they can inflict while playing GTA/Halo, this is easily observable by asking any under 18 xbox owner what they think of the gamecube. Nintendo has to adapt atleast somewhat to the current cultural zeitgeist if they want to avoid becomming irrelevent.

FF:Advent Children is a movie, and it's coming out, in superior resolution, on DVD too. FF:Crisis core may be okay, but it's an action RPG, not so good for a FF game.
DS on the other hand gets FF:Crystal Chronicles online, FF3 remake, Egg monster heroes by squareenix, and a strategy rpg by FF creator sakaguchi. So while I may buy a psp after a price drop if crisis core is half decent, the DS is THE final fantasy handheld, and any true fan would prioritize it as the first one to get.

PS2 came out in 2000, ps3 comes out in mid 2006(approx.), so that a 6 year lifespan.
Gamecube came out in 2001, revolution comes out in late 2006(approx.), so thats 5 year lifespan.
Xbox came out in 2001, xbox2 comes out in late 2005(approx), so thats a 4 year lifespan.
Other than the xbox, those seem pretty good intervals.
Yes, because sony has a history of being victorious in format wars, like their succesful betamax beating vhs, minidisc beating cdr, atrac or whatever beating mp3, memory stick beating SD and CF, and so on.
Some nintendo exec confirmed ages ago that you could connect a computer monitor to the revolution. Haven't heard about any MS or sony confirmations/denials though.

- Reading this article makes it seem like a decent possibility. First, IBM already has linux running on cell in their labs, and there are rumours that sony does too. Then there was a previous article that hinted that the compiler toolchain used for ps3 is open source, GCC maybe? Then, the article above talks about opengl and nvidia's CG, both excel in linux. And it also says that it uses an operating system to help manage the cell. I think it's alteast very good odds that the ps3 will have a custom linux backend.
Not just interbreed, but with fertile progeny. Donkey's and horses aren't the same species afterall. And considering the scientists beleive they are an offshoot of homo erectus, it's pretty unlikely that they are compatable enough.
Well, this is only an "analyst" saying this, with no evidence. He probably went the inflamatory route like this on purpose too. I'm not worried until someone with credibility says something.

Does this mean I'll be able to buy a PS2 for cheap here in Canada soon?

DS has the RPG's, nuff said.
"-use a separate partition for swap and temp"
"-use a fixed-size swap file"
"-don't get online with an unpatched system"
"-use TweakUI"
"-disable stupid windows crap"
It was probably the switch to a 2.6 that was the root of that problem.
You mean the G5's? Sure they had prototype xbox2 OS on them, but it's hardly an amazing feat to get something like that out early.

Are you sure they've fixed anything? I though the sony pres. was on record that he would not fix the square button problem.
