    As I see it, was that Skype, as created, didn't need any "tweaking" it was basically done. It did what it needed to do, and it did it well. No fuss, no muss, no issues.

    Naturally, MS had to come in and fuck it up.
    I mean, improve upon it.

    Now it barely works and is stuffed full of shit no one wants or needs.
    In other words, standard MS practice.

    These are just a few I interact with on a daily basis. Nothing like them exists *anywhere* but in the Windows environment. They do not run under Wine, or a VM, or anything like that. They touch the bare metal, or they don't run. Why? Because the US gov't certifies that when installed on a Windows system, with a certain level of updates, that the results they provide will stand up in a court of law.

    So, there you have it, switching to Linux is not a solution that you so easily tout.

    I'm going to drive my 10MPG (on the highway) car (original Abarth car) all weekend long, just to suck up as much cheap gas as I can.

    Don't get me wrong, I think what you are doing for electric cars is great, but let the public come to you if your product is superiour, otherwise, confine yourself to the dustbin of history and quit being so smug.

    And while we're at it, your cars commit the worst of all sins, they are boring to look at. Hire some Italian stylists once in a while, okay?

    It seems you need a lesson in history. Genocide has been instigated by corporations (Shell corp, for example, in Africa, protecting oil interests) forever.

    Look up "blood diamonds" or "conflict diamonds" as another example.

    But if you'll re-read my comment, you'll note I didn't say who I was in support of (and if you read it carefully, I dissed the other side as well)
    It doesn't take a trained psychologist to understand the man is scary enough as a potential candidate, being *the* candidate is a nuclear option few of us would survive (this holds true for Clinton as well, mind you)

    But an eloquent speaker who so far hasn't actually shown any concrete plans on how he plans to guide america.
    But very good at spewing mindless rhetoric that people seem to eat up, or at least enjoy watching the clown-car circus that the debates have devolved into.
    I fear a showdown between him and Clinton for the highest power in the land. Or in the words of Alien vs. Predator "No matter who wins, we lose"

    There was a series long time ago called "Robotica" that had for their host one of the Zappa offspring.
    They had just that, all kinds of obstacles, so really low to the ground bots often were hung up. It forced designers to really think about what they were doing.
    Best show of the bunch IMO.

    Of all the comments (so far) you are the only one who seems to understand why NK rattles sabres on a regular basis...for aid.
    Having read parts of their founder's "manifesto" I don't panic every time they light off rounds at SK. They just need to save face while at the same time asking for food.

    If this is a real nuclear device, it might change things a bit, but if NK were to ever *really* decide to invade SK, they won't start with a show of force and theatrics, they'll just do it.

    I know how you feel. I have books that pre-date the Internet with information on the engines and development team, from Alfa Romeo. The wiki page is so far off base on just about everything in that area. But try to correct it and it's a total no go.

    So these days, I look at wikipedia and a good starting point to find general information. If I want *accurate* information, I go elsewhere.

    As a gov't worker, I wanted to point out something you might not know.
    Where I work, it takes an act of the general assembly, to lay off an employee. Especially if it's through no fault of his own. In fact, it's cheaper to keep them on, than to tie up the court fighting a wrongful termination suit.
    So yes, you might be able to eliminate 15 million public sector jobs in theory, but you'd never be able to do it in reality.
    The gov't does not like to shrink. They might be re-trained (might mind you) but their depts. will never go away.
