Maybe if he'd called a lawyer, he wouldn't have signed off on a confiscation list that didn't include everything that was confiscated. I'm sorry, but if it wasn't on the list, he won't be seeing it ever again.

I know for a fact that one of the major Hollywood talents has leaked his share of movies.
He gives his screen copies to his personal assistant when he's done with them. The assistant then copies them to VCD and hands them out to his friends. Who knows where these end up?
I only need one shortcut to it on my computer, not one on the desktop, one in the menu bar, one in the start button...etc.
Thanks but no thanks. I'll stick to iTunes.
Um, have you looked at all the crap iTunes puts to load at startup?
Just because the forum decides on a standard doesn't mean everyone will adopt it. Just look at the existing confusino with +/-R. There are plenty of mfgrs who for various reasons will try to interject their own technology into the market place.
As to Asia, don't count it out so easily. The asian market is why you can now buy DVD players that play back Divx and VCD. Believe me, if China's HD-DVD format costs significantly less than the Japanese/European products, you will see it hit the shores here in the US.
My folks still have their Betas. The one from the front room is now in storage, but the one in their bedroom is still in use. My dad has a large Beta movie collection (Both commercial and home) and has no interest in going through the hassle of converting them to VCD/DVD.
This is minor. The real question is which DVD-HD format will become the standard. It looks like we're going to have 2 incompatible formats introduced the US, with a 3rd format introduced in China.
Well, accoding to Joss Whedon, its pure black. The other week when he and the cast of Firefly appeared at the LA SciFi Con, he talked about how most TV stations looking for a frame of pure black to signal the beginning of a commercial break. So for one scene where he wanted it things to turn black for a few seconds, he couldn't actually use black or else the tv stations would automatically start playing commericals. Instead they had the find the the darkest color they could that the equipment would not detect as black.
I'm a big fan of OTR (Old Time Radio) and I don't find the product sponsorships that distracting. I'd rather have an actor spend 10 seconds talking about how much they enjoy jello in context of the show than to sit through 2.5 minutes of advertising that completely interrupts the show.
Actually, the ZyXEL solution is a LOT cheaper. The D-Link 3100 requires you buy their printer ($300) plus an AP. To get an AP with simliar features to the built in AP on the B-4000 you need to buy $230 AP.
The B-4000 features IP Spoofing and layer 2 isolation. Basically, it keeps wireless users from being able to talk to each other. This is a good thing, as it keeps bored CompSci students from being able to hack into other users computers (Or at least makes it much harder).
Either way, you are talking about 40% for the ZyXEL solution, and one less box.
I say we part him out. Sell off his organs on eBay, and use those funds to pay off any bills he ran up. Or put him into a government work camp where he can pay back his debt to society.
Good thing this law wasn't passed last time I went to Universal Stuidos. At the end of the day we took in dinner and a movie at Citywalk. I of course still had my camcorder with me that I had used all day at Universal Stuidos.
I can confirm the story. We recently tried testing out the G+ at work. We have two B APs, on channel 1 and 11. The G+ mode only works on channel "6". When we turned on the G+ network both of the B APs for all intents and purposes were unreachable. The G+ network functioned, but at slower than G speeds. The only way we could get the G+ to work was to turn off both B APs.
I'm going to assume that rather than using the real channel 6, G+ uses maybe 3 and 9. I say this since to make G+ work, it has to broadcast two different streams at the same time. Since channel "6" is the only option for G+ mode, I'm guessing they actually uses in between frequencies to avoid overlap between the two.
Since retiring, Gary Larson has made 2 Far Side animated anthologies. I can only seem to find them on VHS. Does anyone know if they are available on DVD? Are they any good?

Why do I have a funny feeling that his new business was using intellectual property that was owned by his former employer?

Depends on the bank. Some will nickle and dime you to death (Bank of America), while others (Washington Mutual) don't.
Jewelry stores are great places to launder money, and diamonds are a huge source of terrorist funds.
Actually, ReplayTV and Tivo sued each other a couple years back. They ended up cross liscensing each others technology.
Pretty standard thing to do in the technology world.

You mean like the .95 correlation between sunspot activity and global temperatures over the last 100 years?
What age was this? Are you really that ignorant that you think scams and fraud are a new thing?
"3 Card Monte" is not product of the Internet era.

I'd settle for just the harem.

And her balls.

Maybe they're using the international notation for dates? DD/MM/YYYY. So that would be Feb 12th, 2003.
LOL! I saw that on a recent EVA flight!
