  1. I have a TCL television, and when it's connected to the internet, it used screenshots of whatever youtube video I'm watching to serve up ads on the TV. It was so annoying that I stopped using the built in Roku component of the TV. I'm willing to concede that it might be the Roku side of things, and not the TCL side, however it does leave a layer of skepticism.

    Addicts will find a way to get their fix, regardless. Regulating any activity to only certain zones simply appeases the sensibilities of NIMBYs.

    I've had to go to the ER for a non life threatening injury that prevented me from driving myself. I wish I would have though to call Uber or a cab. It would have saved me thousands.

    Michael Jordan as an agent of the state who shuts down an enjoyable activity? This sounds like a cheap ripoff of "Barkley Shut up and Jam Gaiden," in which he was oppressing people's rights to play B-Ball.

    They should have just done a film adaptation of that. It would be better. This Ray Bradbury guy seems like a hack.

    Nvidia is working on releasing headless mining cards to curb the price gouging on current GPU's, and most of the naive people who are eventually going to give up once they realize that their 12 GPU rig they paid $15,000 for isn't going to make them fast money. * With the current GPU prices, I'd say you have a better chance of making some money buying Nvidia stock.

    A lot of this criticism of changes to technology affecting our day-to-day lives comes from "enlightened" individuals who assume that others are too stupid to know what's best for themselves or have any self control. This is not that that different from people, both liberal and conservative, who assume that single moms, who collect welfare welfare, don't know how to properly use the money, or are too dumb or uneducated to do so. "Don't give that homeless mom $5 for gas, she's going to buy Newports with it." It's patronizing. It's disgusting.

    "People are stupid and that's the reason Trump won" sounds more like a the stage of grief for people who are upset that he won, rather than a factual statement.

    The comment stated in an IM by zuckerberg was "They trust me- dumbfucks" which could very easily be interpreted as self-deprecating humor.

    The free market is nvidia deciding how to handle the product they manufacture and sell. Someone else is free to come in, develop a high powered GPU or ASIC device, and sell to miners.
