Hell, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they log all conversations.
Thats a bit paranoid, AOL/TW probly doesn't care where you are, and loging all conversations... for all their millions of users this would take an insane amount of space. I've been using trillian for a few months now, and it logs everything, i have 12MB of logs, and those are in formated plain text. (1.5MB/month) x Time x Users... It all adds up.
Unix doesn't have a cute and cuddly mascot. Look at its/. topic graphic, just a word, boring. Its not a cute little devil in sneakers or an adorable penguin, oh, excuse me, GNU/Penguin. Unix needs to find itself a mascot to survive, and maybe change its name to not sound like another word...

Yeah, but if you brought back a solid platinum asteroid the size of a house, the price of platinum would drop making it just a worthless chunk of metal(is platinum good for anything besides being rare and therefore expensive?).
Wouldnt CDRW-ROM make more sense? why would you have a write once portion of a disc with a part already stamped. With a CDRW-ROM you could save your games on the game cd, no more save files or memory cartriges.

Angel is a great show that really came into its own once BTVS moved to UPN. Its probably not doing well because the WB doesn't advertise it(alla firefly) and no one knows when its on, or it gets bumped for crap like tonight(the lone ranger). But IMO Charisma Carpenter is way hotter than SMG. I've caught the last few episodes only because someone on/. said it wasn't canned after i made some comment about great shows like firefly, farscape and angel gettign canned. I really thought it was gone. As for Buffy, its jumped the shark, this whole training school for potential slayers just bugs me, but the past few seasons, Glorie, ADAM, have been great, I'm sad to see it go.
