  2. American Science and Surpuls... on Which LED Flashlight Do You Use? · · Score: 1

Greatest store ever... i found these little babys there. It says they're not the brightest ever, but they light up a room pretty well. I have 7 of them, one of each color(they had green and purple at the store, but not online) and an extra blue one on my keychain. The rubber button is great because if you push it down all the way you can jam it under the casing and the light stays on. About once a week i find the one on my keychain jammed on in my pocket, but its still birght as ever. The last one broke(the keyring clip) before i noticed any decrease in brightness.

Decent animation, but for a cartoon the story was pretty good, it really expanded on the book, and IMHO was better than the movie.

I'm sure tons of people here have seen the cult classic Better off Dead. The first time i saw it a few years back and heard the line "My little brother is building a space shuttle out of old vaccum cleaners" I immediatly had to go home and play Commander Keen. Anyone else notice this or want to speculate about all this? Is Badger Myer Commander Keen?

I've thought about a DIY high capacity portable, but havn't had the balls to risk that kinda money. I'm reasonably sure it would be possible to take the HD out of my Archos Jukebox and replace it with a larger drive, as its my understanding that its core is just a standard laptop drive

If you build something from 30 year old plans, its brand new, its just a 30 year old design. Theres a big difference between something being 30 years old and being built from 30 year old plans. And its not like they couldn't update/upgrade/modify the Buran Plans

  13. Screw the shuttles. on NASA To Try To Resume Flights By Fall · · Score: 1

Honestly, they're 30 years old, we've needed something else for years. They scraped the Venture Star(x-33) program, but that could be revived and give us a cost effective single stage reusable orbital vehicle. If not the venture star why not give the Russians the money we spend on the shuttles(most of NASAs budget) to revive their Buran program. IIRC both the Venture Star and the Buran had an estimated TOC that was something like a magnatude less than the shuttles.
