Greatest store ever... i found these little babys there. It says they're not the brightest ever, but they light up a room pretty well. I have 7 of them, one of each color(they had green and purple at the store, but not online) and an extra blue one on my keychain. The rubber button is great because if you push it down all the way you can jam it under the casing and the light stays on. About once a week i find the one on my keychain jammed on in my pocket, but its still birght as ever. The last one broke(the keyring clip) before i noticed any decrease in brightness.
I'm sure tons of people here have seen the cult classic Better off Dead. The first time i saw it a few years back and heard the line "My little brother is building a space shuttle out of old vaccum cleaners" I immediatly had to go home and play Commander Keen. Anyone else notice this or want to speculate about all this? Is Badger Myer Commander Keen?
I've thought about a DIY high capacity portable, but havn't had the balls to risk that kinda money. I'm reasonably sure it would be possible to take the HD out of my Archos Jukebox and replace it with a larger drive, as its my understanding that its core is just a standard laptop drive
If you build something from 30 year old plans, its brand new, its just a 30 year old design. Theres a big difference between something being 30 years old and being built from 30 year old plans. And its not like they couldn't update/upgrade/modify the Buran Plans
Honestly, they're 30 years old, we've needed something else for years. They scraped the Venture Star(x-33) program, but that could be revived and give us a cost effective single stage reusable orbital vehicle. If not the venture star why not give the Russians the money we spend on the shuttles(most of NASAs budget) to revive their Buran program. IIRC both the Venture Star and the Buran had an estimated TOC that was something like a magnatude less than the shuttles.
Defective hardware is distributed to the nearest geeky friend, i myself have a shelf and a spare desk with drawers full of old/non working hardware. I'm sure you average/. reader has at least this if not a spare room full of old 286 boxes.
Said in the paper today its Bill Shatners birthday 2day, hes 72(yipes!). Happy... Birthday!, Captain.

If an increase of magnatude is possible with liquid N2, how long till somebody has a p4 running @ 3THz or so?
Decent animation, but for a cartoon the story was pretty good, it really expanded on the book, and IMHO was better than the movie.
Yeah, cuz those of us under 21 really have a problem getting booze. *rolls eyes*

I went through about 5 gravis gamepads on Goodbye Galaxy. The little screw on joystick was a terible idea. "No, no, left! *snap* Damnit!"
None of these are true haikus. A true haiku has 5-7-5 sylables and must have a kigo or seasonal theme.

Dont forget our largest state, Canada.

You can just order your pizza over the internet, i've actually found it quicker, and they have no excuse for screwing up your order.
*passes hand over head*
