You'll find with most Palms are connected to the net via pay-per-MB GPRS, so high-bandwidth application isn't really going to be too popular..

However, you can get close to what your asking (in an efficient manner) with MMS Cam (link could well be broken, but you can do another search). With this software you send a specific text to your sneakily located 3650 (Nokia VGA Camera/Video phone) and it will email or MMS to a specified address/number whatever is in it's sights. It's close to what your thinking, and won't inflate your phonebill...

As it is I'll stick with my first rev. Dual USB and keep saving, and maybe my finances will get in phase with the 15.4 AluBook annoucement :)

One of the things which makes me use iTunes on certain machines is the indiscriminate search feature and how it works so well with both librarys and playlists.

I would really like to see it added in someway to Safari as now it is my main browser my bookmarks, despite attempted organisation are beginning to get out of control.

Swapping the Google search panel for a bookmark search interface (when you flick the bookmark switch, which checked titles and URLs) would be cool, and as a 'power' feature if you could searched cached versions of the bookmark's pages as well it would be excellent (please inform me if another browser already has that functionality)...

Secondly, I didn't think at keynotes you have to announce every stratergy you are working on, especially the secret ones which might not pan out. Cut them a bit of slack :)

On the other hand you could just say its a ploy to make one movie into three and get more revenue - Xmen didn't waste anytime unleashing a bunch of mutant abilities, but then again I guess they had prior art..

You do realise that practically nowhere offers gigabit ethernet plugin at the wall, not even at work? It's mostly for wiring up server farms etc. I seriously doubt your computer can consistantly give a gigabit of throughput anyway - this is like when they bumped the ram up to DDR, who cares that the CPU couldn't actually use it, it made the specs look better!

In my non-scientific observations, I've seen gigabit perform up to 4-5 times faster than standard 100mb ethernet.. And when you see some of the data shifting which does on in the media environments (most?) of these powerbooks work in you'll be glad in *any* increase in network performance...

Choice of hardware: Dell: everything Apple: little

I admit for home users XP beats OS X when it comes to overall hardware support, but the most of the Powerbook owners I know need suport for - wireless and wired networks (built-in), bluetooth (built-in, with argueably better software support than XP), VGA, DVI ADC monitors (I have a hard time finding PC notebooks with DVI, but someone please correct me), firewire hard drives (I admit USB 2 would be nice for completeness) and DV and Still cameras (which it chews up and spits out).

For some weird-ass $40 webcam XP is gonna win on support, but for the professional media market these books are primarally aimed at I've found no hardware support issues :/
