well, i'll explain that quickly, the term comes from a grossley inaccurate garfield poster where garfield (the cat mind you) ties many, many books to himself and proclimates he's learning by osmosis
christmas night is spent with family, the day after i have to run back home, to college (apartment life not dorm) because i work tomorrow, but with the two weeks i have off, i'm working on the network, i just moved out of the dorms in with two of my friends, and i'm setting up the network now that i have enough floor space to set more than my work station, got to get mail, web, ftp, and nis (nis box also does vpn, and routing/nat) all up before sunday night... i opened a new dell inspirion 8200 this morning that was a plus
And the one mobile cart thing was supposed to revolutinize the way we "walk" as it put it... that thing couldn't go up stairs, and it was dorkey, jet packs are cool, didn't you see the roceketeer? yeah, i thought you did, take that nazi-germany, we'll see if you ever take over the world...SUCKERS
I moved to in with two of my not so computer savvy friends, who insisted on the microsoft name, well, after struggeling with delayed shipping, and a whole list of other hassels, we got it hooked up, but, the my computer doesn't get a -REAL- ip address, my modem gets the IP, then it does NAT/firewall, but with a 255.255.255.252 subnet, so it will only assign one computer, which pisses me off to no end, after less than 20 minutes of fitzing around and RTFM'ing i call MSN, i can't turn the feature off, they apologize, i arrange to have my ISP switched, call back in 20 minutes and cancel service, good thing there wasn't a contract, whew! i still have to pay $50 for internet for less than a day, i'm irked
wow, that is some serious M$-bashing karma-whorin' outlook has it cons definately, viruses and worms, and definate pros, like the planner, sticky notes, contact, and having not even tried xp, just assuming that they'd just repackage the software with no enhancements is bad practice
these things obviously don't go hand in hand, or the trial would have already been over. Then again it may be a bit harder to try when the plantiff drops the charges, and the ill informed government picks them up... Or they could have been just trying to keep him behind bars until technology changes enough he's no longer a threat (mitnick) in anycase, the DMCA is the spawn of satan...
The question now is who is right, Jeremiah or I? He claimed Enix was the better game developer, I claimed Square was (excluding FFX) Looks like we'll have to battle to the death with knives again!
The finger-print he was referring to on the MAC and LLC sublayers of the Data link layer (osi model) are factory imprinted, so, it's useful evidence to prosecute, with new network adapters however, you can cange your mac address. so you'd have to apprehend the h4x0r before s/he escaped and were able to change their mac. so i would assume that you'd catch them in the act, or atleast filter traffic to not allow them onto your network.
ok, i live in an apartment, a few blocks from ISU, got a yagi wireless antenna to get on their network (students are allowed access, so i figure, i'm allowed to get on, from my apartment too, right?) a 1/1meg dsl connection, my athlon xp 2200, ati raedon 8500 (128 meg) main computer, a dual 500mhz p3 server, a multimedia computer that connects to the tv for divx, and the reciever for mp3s, my two roomates have a computer each, i have a wireless ap with ssh for my laptop, and a 42" widescreen HDTV (LCD, non projection) when my room mates and i all chipped in for the tv, it was only $700 a piece! then a nice set of surround sound to go along with it. i don't use the isu connection for the internet, as i usually get 128k to the internet
Don't feel too bad. I was mocked for drinking diet soda. I kept getting the maxim quote, "Diet Pepsi doesn't make you gay, it just makes you look gay!" at least as a girl you can drink diet soda, it's ok if you've got tits, but if you're diabetic, you still look like a fag!
I have some world war II propganda cartoons of bugs bunny calling japanese slopes, slant eyes, gooks, yellow men, and various other racial slurs... is that ok?
I submitted the story because the last meteor shower I read about on slashdot just a few short hours before it was supposed to happen, and I had plans, this way, I figured I could maybe avoid a mess so people could plan for it.
i felt it was implied. being as i was refuting what was said about the circumferance of the earth. if you're confused, you should have read the entire thread

it isn't *really* napalm, it's just a very-very fun, flamable paste
Joysticks control YOU! Joysticks control men regardless of where they're from
...i've only played one or two from the list, this sense of the past is anything but nostalgic
format? FORMAT? I'm more concerned with the fact that if I start saving now, I might afford it by 2005!!

i wish that were the case, but rather than try to hack it, or violate my terms of service, i'll just swich providers

this is really, really offtopic, but is your name jace?
yeah, because children under the age of 13 have the required credit cards and credit history to make transactions over the internet

From I've read, it doesn't sound like it. The best viewing area is in on the east coast of the United States.

I envision it as using your cellphone as a soft-modem, however, I'm not sure

"Sure you can say that, we don't mind at all! What's your name, current address, social security number, and credit history?"
