how easily can these smart cards be hacked?
i've been looking for something other than directtv cards to use with the scr that came with my soyo dragon+
i won tickets to see spidey on wednesday at the premier in des moines thanks to lazer 103.3!! having seen both movies, i really liked the new one a lot more. spending half of the movie on charecter development gave me a much better feel for who peter parker was, not just how much ass spidey can kick.....being a comic fan-boy, i really like peter parker's persona, and don't forget, spidey kicks ass!
but how is it for reliability? my visiontek geforce3 beats the hell out of my friends off brand geforce 4.......
besides, i just shelled out $180 for my graphics card, and tuition is coming up for summer semester.......
that if java was truly compile once, run anywhere, more people would be developing for it, and more people would be ditching their windoze® operating systems
if our congressional repersenatives behaved like they were supposed to, we wouldn't have a need for this technology
we always have a need for technology that assists in manipulation!
is there a place where we can email our support to him? if he gets enough letters, word of mouth can spread amongst the repersenitive community without having to go through a mediary (such as an anal retentive secertary)
if videogames make teenagers with bad parents violent, why can't it make a soldier with an anal drill sergeant just as violent, or maybe just more effective......the soldiers have the benefit of more accurate physics though, right mr. caramack.......anyone wanna dm me in zig vert?
sure, it maybe cheaper per machine, but at the cost of your time. economically, how much will you spend building these machines, and what do you get paid, if the money you get paid is even close to what you'd gain, then factor in warranties (or in this case lack of.) with all this in mind now, pitch it to your manager, see what they say, so either way, you can't be held responsible, as it wasn't your decesion
i'm one to believe that intellectual property is not property, there is something entirely different about tangible and intangible products, that's why you have a lot of software pirates who will produce copy after copy of software, but wouldn't borrow a penny from anyone without asking. a better analogy is this, if you had all the parts sitting in your garage to build yourself a brand new bmw, do you have the right to do so? according to patent, no, but you own the parts....
for each new copy protection scheme, you'll have ten ways to circumvent it from release groups (fleet, razor, ect.) and most of the people who pirate would never buy the software in the first place (like me for instance) so, i'd be a wise choice on their part to drop the charade on fighting piracy, pocket the money they save by not actively persuing it, and enjoy the software growth
by legal music i was referring to freely available legal music. i really enjoy music, i feel a lot more than most do. i listen to a widerange of music, and some of it is mainstream, but most isn't. but the point remains, it would cost me right around $7,000 to get all of my music legal, i'd like nothing more than for the artists to have my money directly, but if i were to legalize my entire collection, all artists would share around $700, that's B.S.
i'd much rather have good pirated music, than crappy legal music.....
granted people have different tastes in music, but in all seriousness, some musicians just aren't talented, i guess it's really a moot point being as i have 30 gigs of mp3s....
It's much easier to bring in a floppy or ls-120 disk, we even have several cd burners around here.......no one can install any new hardware on any of the pc's.....
i loved their tech support, we had hardware warranties on all of our equipment for three years, and i'd call in around twice a week for anything from a new mobo to a new slim line cd drive.....next day air.....how will the merger affect the support, i hope to god they don't take on HP's level of support.....
i think slashdot isn't so much a place for a formal debate as it is for casual conversation, and as such, shouldn't be subjected to pissants such as yourself who take the time to bitch and moan about someone's mistakes, which were made because i didn't feel the need to take the time to proof it. go bitch about something that matters
you had best watch yourself....i mean, that could be construed as a terrorist accusation.........why waste the ammo any way? i'd get much more satisfaction out of the humilation......where's my gauntlet?
if the human brain could be used to it's full potential, it'd be not contest
i wonder if a divine being decided we should underclock....without any arctic silver between cells, maybe our heads would blow up
yes indeed, but Neverwinter is going to run on linux out of the box! that's so awesome, no pesky binaries, no unsupported installs, no downloading other installers, right out of the box
i'm not sure if there are two different versions, or one kick ass version, but either way, it's a huge step in the right direction....we don't need another loki to rise our hopes and then go bankrupt, we need a black isle (partially because they make the best games ever, period!) with the forsight to include linux versions, NOT linux ports.....

i'd rather be generous to prove a point, than make a hyperbole to hurt it...
