Bingo! Exactly my point. Who the fuck gives a rats ass about a stoner singer who had "issues" - big fuckin' deal. Its not like Cobain was a phenomenal singer. He can hardly sing. Granted he is way better than Britney, still does not warrant to be featured story. I bet if he died now, CNN would just dedicate a week for him. Sad indeed.

But I fail to understand how it "looked like a bomb"? Do you know how a bomb is supposed to look like? Just because it has wires and batteries doesn't mean it is a bomb, heck then every single electronic device in airport is a bomb then. Stop your mindless sensationalist reasoning for a stupid, incompetent and ignorant excuse for a human being called TSA.

Whenever I see a post related to H1B or outsourcing, I see gazillion comments complaining how they are looking for cheap labor. Of course they are! Fuck, even in a socialist country (if there are any) they'd be looking for cheap labor. If you don't like it, form your own Microsoft and pay all the American citizens hefty amounts and don't hire any foreigners. Until then, go back to your dungeon and shut up.

I have a friend who works in Google India. And when I asked about this new phenomenon, he said that there is no shortage of applicants, but there is a shortage of "qualified" applicants. For every software engineering position they anounce, thousands of resumes are received, but none of them meet their requirements. So this shortage is not some random IT position but very specific skilled positions that the Indian tech populace is unable to fill.

I think you are approaching it the wrong way. Development environment, coding standards, physical security etc depend on policies and laws as far these voting machines are concerned. For e.g. Diebold makes all kinds of machines like ATM, kiosks etc and every single one of them has a paper trail. But when it comes to these voting machines, they don't. So it's not that their developers were sloppy or the architects were crazy, its just policies laid out by CEO or whoever the heck he is and how much green they are making. Blaming the development environment seems more appropriate when that is the only conecern.

So if the FBI is investigating or analyzing these records you have to wonder who they are "striking back" against? US citizens? FBI sure does have heads up their asses.

Somehow I feel that you are one of those millions of Indians in US who feels they care about their country and express it in soulless words. No. You are giving too much credit there. Stupid actions like these are acts of an idiot bureaucrat, who thinks he is doing society a favor by not creating religious tensions. For e.g. 4 states in India banned the recent Da Vinci Code. Well just like in US, you can file a case in the state's supreme court and the supreme court actually chided the state govt for crossing the line. Thus, it is a matter of time before someone actually files a case and this thing will be over turned.
