errr, system wasn't called Joshua. The computer is called WOPR. Professor Stephen W. Falken's son was Joshua and combined with the age the child died at was the system password.
If you want to waste your time writing say an alternative OS for the xbox360 in C#, (running on top of their dashboard and the XNA system), then you can for $99US.
There's already emulators appearing on XNA sites so other games are now running.
That site is incredible.
Go to the FAQ which they want you to read first, pop-up appears: "I agree to this site's terms of use and purchase"
[ OK ] [ Cancel ]
So I pressed the Cancel button and then was genuinly surprised to get another pop-up with no cancel option saying:
"Entry onto this page or clicking on any document link indicates your express agreement to terms of use and purchase."

I was in Hong Kong two weeks ago, which happened to coincide with the PS3 launch and EA's new public space at the top of the Peak Tram route in the new building looking over Hong Kong Island to Kowloon.
So you have thirty PS2s, xbox360s and PCs. No PS3s. No Wii.
I was in the Hong Kong sony Style store looking for more games two days after launch. (They only had Tiger Woods and Genji only, no other stores had software.)
I saw the same thing as you, people buying PS3s after the launchday, I went over to enquire to find out this was people picking pre-orders and using their credit cards to confirm identity.
From the article:
Microsoft hasn't announced pricing. But the software giant says movies will be competitive with pay-per-view programming offered by cable companies, typically $4 to $6 apiece. And TV shows will cost roughly the same amount to download as they are on Apple's (AAPL) iTunes service, which is $2 (see BusinessWeek.com, 6/21/06, "Apple's iTunes Movie Muddle").
But iTunes content is 640x480, where as I hope my xbox360 will be happy showing me the shows in 720p on my HDTV.
I can't see games with 50 gigs of content being viable. Someone has to be paid for producing that content which obviously has to be pushed onto the consumer.
I found it Skipping (UK for 'Dumpster Diving'), but the drivers were for DOS, Windows 3.11 and DOOM only! Never did get it working properly in win98 I still have it though in my collection of junk.
well my R10000 with its 2mb L2 cache I reckon is sitting in the same circa 2000 machine as his R12000 with its 8MB of L2 cache.
I for one welcome our 8Mb L2 cache overlords.

Although a lot of her external links are now dead, he does keep the info upto date.
Several companies offer PCMCIA cards that are essentially cell phones. The newest ones even support G3 internet. All these cards support SMS texting via a app on the laptop.
Still doesn't explain where he was sending them. Yes, he may have been bombarding a similar setup at the phone companies end, but if that was shutdown then you'd just get a ton of failure mesages,
