Close. They did mid-air snags of the Corona's film capsule with C-119 (The Flying Boxcar).

The capsules had a nifty lil device to thwart recovery by the Russians should the aircraft miss and it dropped into the ocean. A salt plug in the capsule would dissolve after a period of immersion and it would sink.
Somebodys got to build it. Which means plenty of opportunity for cost overruns, bloated budgets and just plain old engineering welfare programs. Inevitably, the first one will wind up landing in the ocean due to a metric-english snafu so we'll have to have a couple spares on hand.
And finding a planet will mean what to me? Cheaper energy resources? A more secure, peaceful environment?
I'd like to think of Civil Disobedience as being associated with protesting for something with an inkling of meaning, like Equality, Hunger, Human Rights.
What we debating here is the breaking of laws because we are to cheap, greedy or lazy. But we like to wrap it up in protest.
If only Martin Luther King were alive to lead us against the facist entertainment industry.
Oddly enough, even though I've got 4 or 5 of the Zip drives, I've never been bitten by the click of death.
One drive that did start making THAT noise was given a severe warning, in the form of being picked up and slammed broadside on the desktop. It's worked fine ever since.

Christ, haven't you guys ever watched Close Encounter Of The Third Kind?
Microsoft states:
"We do not have plans to deliver Windows XP SP2 enhancements for Windows 2000 or other older versions of Windows," the company said in a statement.
SlashDuh gurgles:
Microsoft has decided that future IE updates, including those related to security, will only be available to customers using Windows XP.
Slashdot generating it's own FUD now?
I'll wait for the movie.
Maybe he's angling for an appearance on MST3k. Pity the Mysties have gone off the air, EP 1 & 2 would have made great fodder for Mike and the bots.
Easy there Spike, I believe we said "reminds me".

You mean just because it's published on the internet doesn't mean it true?
Where am I gonna get the cold hard facts about the presidential campaign now?
The big difference being the fact that LOTR didn't blow dead donkey dick.
That's quite the pricey movie. Kevin Costner would be proud.
I think the joke is that somebody actually bought and listened to the "boys".
They are so 90's.
Was the subject of a movie "Capricorn One"

Which not only starred OJ "I was a bad man" Simpson, but also both of Babs husbands, Gould and Brolin.
Build another Hubble, you've just compounded the problem. The new Hubble will require servicing, planned and unplanned.
Build/develope a robotic servicing system, you've opened up hundreds of servicing opportunities in space.
Hubble cost about 1.5 billion and has a yearly cost of about 250 million.
Yes, but at least we are able to spell words like "schools" and "parallel".
Bah.....bah
Tuning the drivetrain is easier than changing a tire, you don't grunt and cuss as much.

It is called investing. Something to do with making money (and being on the board of directors, which is why he ran afoul, I believe)
And it was Bill Gates investment, not Microsoft's.
Watch television - bad
Bootleg movies from theatres - good
Was there ever a playbook on this thing?

More likely to become disloged when the Exploder rolls over.

Maybe I scared em all into submission.
Nice William Shatner impersonation to boot.
Speaking from experience, it doesn't work. I've merrily plowed my way through several intersections, fortunately never having hit anyone.
I go by position, but still have problems, typically at night, or low light situations, where there are street lights in the background.
Then again, I am completely color blind. Certifiable, having failed 13 out of 13 during my Naval Aviator pre-screening.......bummer.
Fellow passengers just love it when I'm driving along and will ask, "Light Green or Red? Hurry, Hurry"
