That's if you take the San Joaquin. It's "quicker." But if you take the Coast Starlight from LA (or Jack London Square or Emeryville at the north end), you'll be able to take the train all the way (minus the quick bus into SF from Oakland/Emeryville.) It does take longer, but you get to see some amazing bits of the California coast. It does take a half a day, though. High speed, it is not. But it's your slow train. No need to take a bus to/from BFD.
... but if you wanted to transfer off the disc, you had to do it via the analogue headphone port, or you need a specialized high-end deck
I wouldn't call the many SCMS "busting" boxes that you deployed along the SPDIF line to "disable" SCMS, a high end deck.
The cost of a consumer MD deck plus a SCMS box was far far cheaper than the professional MD Decks that basically had that SCMS disabling functionality as a feature.
And from your secrecy, it sounds like you want to keep your cushy little situation going, without a mad rush of slashdotters coming to score all that weed, booze and cash.
Yes, but then Apple would just be paying them back for the $150M bailout that Microsoft gave to Apple in 1997.
Spin much? Microsoft made money on your so-called bailout.
Microsoft purchased $150 million of non-voting Apple stock as part of a resolution to a long running legal dispute over their use of certain features that resembled those used in the Mac. The stock was later sold back to Apple for a profit.
Maori tribal art stems from the 1970s. Ever been to New Zealand? Thought not. It's all crap made up to create an indigenous "art" to parallel the Australian Aborigines.
Sorry if I'm feeding a troll here, but Captain Cook wrote this just a wee bit before the 1970s...
The marks in general are spirals drawn with great nicety and even elegance. One side corresponds with the other. The marks on the body resemble foliage in old chased ornaments, convolutions of filigree work, but in these they have such a luxury of forms that of a hundred which at first appeared exactly the same no two were formed alike on close examination.
The Natzi's opend that pandora's box first by bombing London. If the enemy is doing it to your people, then they can't complain about the same reponse.
Not to be a Grammar & Spelling Godwin...
Telling them the old one blew its capacitors did help a bit.
Otherwise they would've just chuckled at you and commented that it was an incredibly well endowed motherboard?
We have a winner!
Our posts would be modded higher, if it wasn't for the Jews controlling the internet and Hollywood!
Full disclosure - Jewish and a Californian.
Even Minidisc didn't do bad at all given it had no pre-recorded music for sale.
Not true, I've got a couple of prerecorded albums on MD. Bought them at the now defunct Virgin Megastore in San Francisco.
Thanks for that!
I always sing the entire song, otherwise it bothers me until I finish it.
I'm sailing away...
Say it again!
Sling-shot launching that Reliant Robin off an aircraft carrier damn nearly killed me!
Rodney you dipstick!
And the satellite isn't the only thing that just passed over your head.
In Low Earth Orbit, nobody can hear you WHOOOOSH!
I would, but I'm too cheap with my mod points. ;)
Checking the usernames on this subthread, it would appear there is a conspiracy of Ravens in here!

Oh, and the gangsters weren't Sicilian.
You know, Meyer Lansky, that lot.
Russian? Polish? Belarus? Jewish? Mobbed up with the Italians?
Which lot?
And the world record for spitting distance is 100 feet four inches. 100 yards is most definitely NOT spitting distance.
But don't let little factoids come in the way of defending the borg.
You keep using that word...

"A factoid is a questionable or spurious—unverified, incorrect, or fabricated—statement presented as a fact, but with no veracity."

OMG, among the worst typos ever....
Could've been worse, you could've said Disney's Dong of the South in Laser Dick format.
:D
" it rather reminds me of Disney's Dong of the South in laser disc format.
Thanks for that!
Um... how much sex do you need?
Careful there, Craigslist got in trouble for this sort of posting...
