Can someone do the math on this? Even if there were 1500 HDTV feeds, is it possible to stream them all to this lady simultaneously with a 40Gbps connection? What about the 36GB HD DVD download? 2 seconds??
So how do you know how many times a bottle (or paper) has been recycled? This is what always confuses me.
Also... how much fuel does this microwave take to convert the plastic back to oil to begin with? Sort of reminds me of the Ethenal issue. It takes 4 barrels of oil to produce 3 barrels of Ethenol thus defeating the purpose of energy conservation.
I have a fear of heights and when I am on the cliffs in Oblivion I get extremly scared. As in real life, I can barely stand at the edge and look down at the virtual fall!

Well, this morning someone mailed one of the tech lists I am on and said his Pine under Windows XP could not send email through Qwest's SMTP servers. I figured it had to do with SPA so I went to Google to see if PIne supported SPA. Here are the results I got. Then I got bored and moved to Slashdot and read this story. I brought up Ask.com and decided to try my search there. Here are the results I got there. Results look comparable as the answers were within the first two (non-ad-sponsored) results.
OK. So I don't live in a large city with towering office buildings so I do not know how long it normally takes to take an elevator to some floor. However, if you have to wait longer for the elevator but the ride is short, isn't this the same as getting on right away and having a longer ride? In the end, it all evens out. So two people entering the same building: one waits for the "optimized" elevator and one gets into the next avaialble one. Wouldn't they arrive on the same floor around the same time?
I'm looking at the photos of this guy and it appears he hasn't lost a single pound. As a matter of fact, he looks heavier than when he started. I've backpacked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail and lost 50 pounds in 6 months (was somewhat overweight at the time but no obese). I've backpacked the John Muir Trail and lost 10 pounds (in 20 days). He should have lost at least 50-100 pounds by Texas, unless he's overeating and not really walking 100% of the distance.
Why didn't they just keep the PSU inside of the XBOX? It would add maybe 2-3" of depth. That brick is HUGE!!! I also don't like the external hard drive but that's another story.
Why the heck don't they just enforce the use of the CC PIN, like with debit cards? They already exist so the implementation would be pretty easy. IMO, this would cut down on fruad about 90%. They also use this method in Europe to success.
Us Americans are too lazy these days. I have "Please ask me for my ID" on all my credit cards and I'm lucky if only 10% of clerks ask for it.
I *do* like how some (most) gas stations ask for the billing ZIP code when using a cc nowadays.

Also, without digressing, I would like to mention that it is my firm belief M1 wasn't made with the intent of being the first of part of a trilogy... I believe the trilogy idea came later (when money started pouring in).
I think most movies with sequels are this way.Do you really believe that Lucas planned on 9 Star Wars films when he wrote the first one? And the big question is, did he really plan Star Wars 1 to be 4? I highly doubt this. I think the greedy bastard planned a way to milk his property for decades to come.
The screenshots look pretty darn good and certainly readable. BTW, they are scaled OR cropped, but the cropping mode allows the screen to scroll up down as needed (called "following"). This can be done automatically for you, similar to some games where when you jump the screen scrollsup.
