    Well said. Its seriously annoying to read the MS sucks rantings of someone who clearly does not know what they are doing. Managing a system, even if it made by MS still required some knowledge and intelligence.

    That someone actually spent 200 Million dollars on a project like this. Flying cars are a cool idea but lets face it totally impractical with todays infrastructure. Also given the paranoia over security today I cant imagine the US Govt being in any great hurry to allow the masses get airbourne.

    I reckon he needs to find 400 people with more money that sense to but them as very expensive novelties to break even.

    cos its gets me out in the country side and fresh air after way too many hours slumped in front of a computer in a stuffy office. It does eat time out of your day but I really consider it relaxation so I dont mind.

    We know because my grand father who was the coolest person of his era and in his prime constantly wore sunglasses , even at night to show how cool he was, recently put on a pair of raybans and immediately walked into a lamp post. Fortunately the impact was partly absorbed by his zimmerframe. However it proved conclusively that its darker now than when he was a boy because he could not see where he was going.

    That might be true for a small number of of obsessed geeks but the majority of people dont give a monkeys about who controls software. To them its just another product and their interest ends as soon as they have finished reading their email or their computer controlled car tells them it needs an oil change.

    Gaming a while ago on my Inspiron 8200 which has well better specs than my normal destop and it came nowhere near the performance on my desktop. The sceen refresh seemed to be struggling badly to keep up with the game. Crappy sound takes a lot away from enjoyment of the game as well.

    This reveals the new object-oriented behavior of Nautilus. The single major and possibly controversial feature of GNOME 2.6 is the introduction of a new look-and-feel for Nautilus: the oft-misspelled spatial metaphor. As first indicated here, the spatial metaphor brings a different methodology of viewing desktop folders and their relationships.

    Has no chance of explaining anything to the technically challenged.

    Where does RMS get off? Java belongs to SUN, they are the one who invested the time, money and effort to develop it. If you dont like it go build your own version rather than trying to imply that SUN are unethical or trying to maliciously entrap developers.

    RMS might better ask why Java has been so successful. It addressed a gap in the market, not its original intention but a need none the less and developers like it. There is an extensive Java developer base now. RMS's comments have a serious smack of petty jealousy about them. Shock horror a commercial company came up with something that has attracted developer mindshare on a far larger scale than anything FOSS can manage and almost 10 years down the line the 'free alternative' is still so half assed its not even a realistic alternative.

    What really is the point in taking your website offline. The only people affected are the believers. You do not reach a broader audience and quite frankly I doubt anyone who does not regularly visit the site cares even remotely that its down. I cant remember the last time I visited the 'big' KDE site and I know most of my friends are not even vaguely interested in whether its up or down. It reminds be of kids throwing tantrums and trying to hold their breath until they pass out, a futile gesture that only affects yourself.
