Precisely. I wonder if there's some future date recorded somewhere when these "future generations" will suddenly be allowed to use these lands that have been preserved for them.
Actually, geocaches are not allowed on National Park land. It is illegal. That's why virtual caches were created.
You are correct, though, on the other statements being false. Some of the first geocaches were partially buried, but that is now a very well-known no-no.
You points are correct, but it will never become that popular. I think its popularity will peak within a year, then taper off. Most poeple who do it were outdoor enthusiasts to begin with, despite the image most non-cachers seem to have of yuppies playing with their toys. While it does get some pasty geeks out of the house for the first time in years, finding Happy Meal toys just isn't enough to motivate most people to go outside if they weren't already going.
Their role models - Eminem and Christina Aguilera, Brittney, Holly Valance etc. You get the picture.
R
Previously their role models were Bon Jovi, Tiffany, George Michael, and Mariah Carey. NOthing's changed. Try again.
Do you seriously consider Eminem and Bon Jovi to be anything alike? How many songs did Bon Jovi have about killing his wife? Tiffany and Christina Aguillara?! "I Think We're Alone Now" and "I Saw Him Standing There" vs "Dirty" and "Lady Marmalade"?! George Michael made national headlines and church sermons by having a song with "Sex" in the title. Would anyone even blink today? Even Mariah's songs were much tamer ten years ago than today. You need to "try again".
Sports and music have GLAMOUR attached. Programming does not, outside of programming circles. People don't want to be rock stars because music is fun; they want the fame and lifestyle.
Also, how many of the artists behind those 128 gold albums don't have an ounce of musical talent? Putting a pretty but phony face on a programmer isn't going to sell software the way it sells music.
I'd say no, you are not the target audience. People who don't know how to set up a LAN, or people who don't know enough other people to have private gatherings, or people with homes too small for large gatherings, are the target. If you can do this at home, you are not the target audience.
FWIW, that'sout of order, for the books. But you probably realized that when the beginning of Dr No had Bond recovering from the poison boot-knife from the end of FRwL.

No, it started when three witches went around eating children, until one family offered them sweet gingerbread children. That's the story of the first caramel cod....yar, I mean, Halloween.
Do you also think it is lame when professional athletes wear black armbands during games after someone significant to the sport dies? Is it lame for soldiers to fire guns at a veteran's funeral? Is it lame for someone to have their ashes spread at a place they loved in life?
The parallel I'm drawing, before someone flames me for comparing a veteran to a video game addict, is the idea that it's normal for people to remember someone through something important in that person's life. You may think having a video game be so key to one's life is pathetic, but if that's what he loved, so be it, let him be remembered through it.
When Phil Hartman was killed, did The Simpsons do a special episode honoring Lionel Hutz?
Not a special episode, but they dedicated the following season premiere to him. And the second episode guide book does have a two-page spread honoring the career of Troy McClure, which does not mention Phil at all.
I don't remember the head shaped room thing, but there was an actual (full human sized) Max you could find on one of the maps. If you took the time to lead him back, he would follow you around and kill bad guys with a stormtrooper rifle.:)
I believe that was in DF2:JK. In the original DF, the icy level had a secret room right at the beginning you had to squat to get into. The room itself was round, but on the map, it was shaped like Max's head. And one of the cheat codes (forget which) would color it in, face and all.
Any game where the solution to one of the "problems" is to pick up your partner, dunk him in water and use him to short out an electrical panel works for me. It took me an hour to get through trying all the little gadgets in the inventory before coming up with that one.
Actually, that was my least favorite part of the game. Funny, yes, but poor puzzle design. But there are one or two groaners in every LA adventure game. I'd still rather play any of them than anything released in the last 5 years.

Er, I take exception to that. No Doubt is no Britney knockoff. They are a ska band whose first album came out in 1992. What grade was Britney in then?
Could you explain the Mysteriuos Triangle Area one a bit more? I don't quite understand. Thanks.
If you look closely at the two small triangles, you will see that their angles are not the same; the blue one has a slope of 3/8, or 15/40; the red has 2/5, or 16/40. As such, they do not form a straight edge for the hypotenuse of the complete triangle. The top shape actually bows inward where the blue and red meet, the bottom bows outward.
With that in mind, imagine a line from the tip of each of the conglomerate triangles, the *true* hypotenuse. The area of this triangle is: A =.5*13*5 = 32.5 Now, subtract from that the area of the small shapes, and you get the area of the trangle formed by the real hypotenuse and that of the two small triangles in the top shape (empty space) A = 32.5-7-8-(.5*5*2)-(.5*3*8) = 0.5 Double that value, since an equal amount bulges out of the bottom shape, and there is your missing 1.0 unit.
Speaking of Bowie and concept albums, he did a concept album called "Inside" a few years ago that was supposed to be the first of a trilogy (it was the source of the song "I Have Not Been To Oxford Town", which was covered by someone for the dance scene in "Starship Troopers"). He has since released several albums, none of them related. Does anyone know if he plans on returning to that project? I'm no Bowie fan, but that album intrigued me.
However, it was not MP3 that killed the concept album, but MTV
Interesting thought. Especially if you consider Metallica's career. They used to do huge albums, not quite concept but still with a unifying theme (Ride the Lightning - death, Master of Puppets - insanity,...And Justice For All - the political one). Few songs under 7 minutes. Then came the black album and, with it, the videos. That album was a bunch of chart-friendly three minute ditties that ended my Metallica fandom.
I recently read a book (fiction) with the Fringe, and Edinburgh in general, as a major plot point. The book is Resurrection Club by Christopher Wallace. It's a bizarre little piece of horror/black comedy. If it wasn't such a quick read, I might not recommend it, but if you like weird fiction, it's worth a look.

I don't remember much hype about Last Action Hero
As I recall, they were going to paint an ad on the space shuttle. I don't know if they actually went through with it.
Incidentally, I liked the movie's concept. The kid ruined it.

Frankly, I wish my TiVo had some balls.
Have you tried recording "Queer As Folk"?
So my friend watches NFL & South Park, his wife is hooked on Buffy, and they have Tivo record Teletubbies for their kid. Profile this!
NFL, South Park, Buffy - male
Teletubbies - pregnant or gay

He also wrote Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang [imdb.com]
And Roald Dahl wrote the screenplay to You Only Live Twice. Really! Makes sense, though. Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang is just a Bond car for kids.
John Cleese -- it's official. He's promoted from R (which I always figured was meant to be pronounced "Arrrrrr" like a pirate).

.5*13*5 = 32.5
