Doesn't this tie in with the gov's case against Billsoft ?
The gov's case was half assed and therefore not a real cure to the monopoly. If they would have had a real plan then we would be getting source code from alot of these manufacturers . Believe it or not but these companies helped out the monopoly by only making software for one company and only one. The gov should have told these companies that they must opensource their drivers so other operating systems can use them.
The hardware and even the software companies play a part in helping uncle bill's monopoly.
So why shouldn't the gov play a part in breaking up this cozy relationship ?
and not graphics ? Xbox2 will have a dedicated graphics card which will do most of the heavy work . It kind of makes me wonder why they don't use a vector processor instead a general processor for non graphics and then have the vector and graphics card combine when doing difficult rendering. Could increase the polygon by alot. Just an idea.
Away overseas. The republican administration doesn't seem to care either. Our trade balance is terrible also . IT industry is turning out to be like the TV and other manufacturing industries going overseas by countries that target the US . I see the handwriting on the wall.
Warren Buffet has commented on the IT situation and has said that there should be a tax on companies that send jobs overseas.
It always seems to come down to benefits of cheaper labor making goods less expensive which does help an economy out by making it more competitive . I get kind of confused by it all.
And alot of people that don't do heavy gaming or graphics processing are right. Think about this . A majority of us use 56k dial up to get on the net but what would happen if the dream of 'Fiber to the home' came true ? We would get 100 megabits of data a second, enough for HDTV on demand and an alternative to the other monopoly that is cableTV(great evil) . That would be THE day that would signal most of our computers as extinct. Alot of our present computers couldn't even come close to handling that kind of data. That would be a HUGE reason to upgrade to 64 bit and faster computers and a reason to overclock. The computer makers should be organizing to roll out 'fiber to the home' along with municipal governments in the best interests for themselves so they can sell new generation MEDIA pc's and for the public.
More impressed with High powered rockets.

Sitting at a redlight with no other traffic around and your thinking to yourself why their has been no technological advance in traffic lights. Or how about hitting 4 red lights within 100 yards and seeing little if any traffic for the oncoming. Doesn't that just piss you off ?
If this product makes traffic routing more efficient and brings it to the 21st century then I am all in favor !!!!
I saw a $ 99 Pda at Compusa last week. By viewsonice with rebates.
Now, I know they can't handle all the functions of the top of the line graphing calculator but they might if you have an emulator or other software.
The graphing calculator is dying out and being replaced by SUPERIOR technology. HP is not embracing the future by not coming out with a hybrid
pda/graphing calculator.
Commander Taco must be on vacation in Silicon Valley.
and you got 1st post too and a 5 insightful.
You make the bonus round.
How can you exactly copyright this virus if it occurs in nature ?

"Eolas patent holder Michael Doyle obtained his degrees from the University of Illinois, where PLATO was developed and widely used."

A total mind shift.
Total revolution.
Hdtv on demand.
choose your poisin.
It will kick ass and the big 3 network will finally die out.
superconducting supercomputers ?
This was supposed to be the real leading edge of computing about 10 years ago and it has vanished.
There is something cooler about superconductors that these building sized clusters can't match.
only the phrase solid state is mentioned so i assume no use of mri machines and that they used quantum dots at superconducting temperatures.
Seems to be the Israel connection to one man.
RSA was named after Shamir.
if you google - shamir twinkle , everything about these optical dsp's will become lucid to you from all these articles this week.
language tests show java is slow ,complex, consumes more memor than the computer has
Which is more productive ?(lines of code)
Which uses less resources ?
Which is faster ?
Here are some benchmarks for all the java zealots. Hurry before the evangelists censor this message!
i am all for that.
Definitely needs an overhaul.

Would the kernel be alot slower if compiled with cyclone compiler ?
I agree with everything you said.
Compusa was offering a COLOR Viewsonic PDA for $ 99 last week but I didn't buy it.

Both of them have director boyfriends that cast them in their movies.
