Unfortunately playing a MP3 at high quality (14 bit, with AGA screenmode to ramp up the Hz) on a 68060 Amiga used 50% of the CPU power. However, I always liked the bassy Amiga sound.
Those people with bluetooth headsets (normally middled aged balding men) aren't actually on the phone. They're just trying to look cool. Instead they look like some kind of sad cyborg.
Also boot.ini by default has System, Read-Only and Hidden attributes. You need to remove both System & Hidden before you can overwrite it (I'll leave it for someone else to check if the installer does this!)
I'm with you on all those Explorer issues. Another thing that bugs me is when Vista see a BMP in a folder and thinks 'Gee in amongst these 100 C source files theres a file called companylogo.bmp. Hey, he must be looking at his holiday pictures! I'll helpfully add 'resolution' and 'date picture taken' columns'.
If the promoter had his way, your ticket would have one figure on it, the face value
Actually sometimes that's the case. And sometimes TM take more than the booking fee (i.e. a kickback).
My cheap Chinese player has an internal battery and charges via USB. Also has FM radio, mic, line-in etc. Only small capacity but plenty enough to get me to work and back on the train.
Me too and I think the ribbon really, really sucks. It's just a glorified toolbar and only seems to be popular with those people who use the mouse for everything. I never uised the toolbar in previous Office versions, but with 2007 I'm forced to hunt around until I can find the icon I need. Menus are much easier to quickly scan through.
Wow, I thought it was just me. I've too work in IT in the UK (~14 years). I've seen maybe 3 Macs. And only 1 in the past 10 years which was used by some kind of Web designer / PR girl in my old office. I only ever saw the screensaver on it, and I used to walk past regularly as it was next to the exit.
"The disruption was triggered by a massive restart of our users' computers across the globe within a very short timeframe as they re-booted after receiving a routine set of patches through Windows Update."
In what way do Office apps integrate? They don't. OK, so I can do a Word mail merge from an Excel sheet, but I can do that with any data source. Embed Excel sheets in my Word doc? It's only OLE/ActiveX.
Maybe you mean the fact that Outlook can use Word to write emails. Big deal.
Couldn't agree more. I've been using 2007 for 6 months or so and I still don't 'get' the Office Ribbon. If I want to do something out of the ordinary (say, mail merge) the only quick way is to try and remember the Office 2003 keystrokes because it's impossible to quickly find anything on those stupid toolbars. Did Microsoft ever read their own style guides? Obviously the Office 2007 programmers didn't.
How is that racist? Chinese do actually eat dog you know.

Well the UK already has at least 1 offshore windfarm at Kentish Flats
Granted it's only 30 turbines.
Both the version on my PC at work and the one here at home are marked as read only.

U N00B IM LEVEL 61 LOL!
Sound smore like the Rats of NIMH
The alternative is CEGCC. It's coming along nicely.
Those groups are useless anyway. Everyone knows Usenet is a 7-bit system that doesn't support binaries...

Yeah, blocky MPEG artifacts rule!

Same here. And I know of at least one other person in the UK using Pandora.
What about Xena the Warrior Princess? She's a woman and she could kick most mens asses.
But now we know the truth: She's a fracking Cylon!!

I'm pretty sure H.264 support in Videolan comes from ffmpeg library.
It mentions Windows Update here: http://heartbeat.skype.com/

If I owned a Dire Straits album I'd probably scratch it with metal pads too!
Sorry, it seems they're only in the UK & Republic of Ireland.
Or TK Maxx as they're known in Europe.
