Yeah, and my ambition is to be an astronaut-playboy-robot-vampire that fights crime and plays lead guitar in his own thrash metal band on the weekends, but I don't think my ambition is terribly realistic either.
Although I bet you aren't sitting on billions and billions and billions of dollars of cash to make it happen. Microsoft is.
But it's quite clear that the U.S. would have been able to make very little headway against the Taliban or Al Qaeda if it did not ally with local power centers, as distasteful as they are.
Not necessiarily (sp?) clear. The United States is perfectly willing to invade a country on a pre-text ties to Al-Qaeda where clearly none existed (ie, Iraq for the uninitiated). Why did they not simply invade Pakistan? That would have been two birds with one stone. Get rid of an EVIL dictator and go after Al-Qaeda.
It seems to me "American Idealism" is a mantra used time-and-again to justify her blatent self-interest to the world and the U.S. general public.
I know a lot of americans probably will, but in the next few decades we'll be losing all the people who dont have a clue. I guess that's one good thing about death
...no need to worry there is always a fresh crop of clueless people to take their spot. Take me for instance.....
Wouldn't surprise me to see an actor change his physique for a role
Check out pictures of Christian Bale in The Machinist and then in his next movie Batman Begins. It's like two completely different people (one of them being a holocaust survivor and the other being all bulked up)
Yes, there are treaties covering space - and George W. can/will step unilaterally outside these treaties, as he already did with other treaties.
Puh-leese!!!
I'm so sick of people talking like this. It's terribly annoying! You give GWB much too much credit....
As far as George W Bush knows, treaties are the things you hand out on hallowe'en.
A friend of mine's....
Riiiight....a "friend", nudge-nudge, wink-wink,saynomore-saynomore
I swear, I've heard the same argument about PHP, Perl, C, and even the concept of object oriented programming.
I the same in an article about frames a while back....
I remember reading somewhere that microwave ovens don't even kill fire ants.
Human babies on the other hand is a completely different story.....
... or as we say in the rural US, it "ain't raight".
:)
Not entirely accurate. It should be: it "ain't raight, let's teach it in science class"
yeah.
too bad.
Am I to just take the written words of a fiction writer as the unquestionable truth?
If you're a bible-thumper, then, uhhh, yes.
People seem to really be missing out on the fact that this is the first console I have seen that really is impressive.
Who are you that *I* should care what you think? ME: "OMG!! COMEN IS IMPRESSED BY THE XBOX360!!!"
Should one of us point out the fact that you never ever start a sentence with "and"?
bzzzt. Wrong.
Does the president always do photo ops when a campaign is finished? He must be busy in Iraq these days!
Let's start a petition and see if we can't get them classify MS Windows.
You mean that there are more classified documents during wartime than during peace? Whodathunkit!
Wartime? I thought it was MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

I think vmware is a solid viable product today, but I was thinking long term. Maybe I'm wrong, but Xen looks a lot like Linux in the mid 90's.
:)
If that's the case then it looks like VMWare has nothing to worry about for at least the next decade or so.
In the case of transparent alumin[...] I remember Scotty saying it the North American way despite being a Scotsman.
Not surprising since he wasn't a Scotsman, he played one on TV.
Two Canadians on Star Trek. My apologies to the world.
I could care less about your opinion. (I know, I know...that's the point)

Why mess around with two devices? The Xbox is a fairly decent (interlaced only) DVD player that will actually play all of my scratched DVDs.
You answer your own question. I want a progressive scan DVD player. Therefore, I need two devices.

What the hell are you crazy bastards talking aboot?
No need to apologise to me.
Just having some fun with ya'.
psst...hey you, over here.... ..."your" does not equal "you are"
I have now officially seen everything. Thank you. I can now live out the rest of my days in peace.
