the video game industry has finally woken up and realized that in order to stay strong going forward, it can't rely on 13-year-old pimple-faced kids to promote its agenda. I guess making a good product is a failing business model? Can't wait till they go after kids sharing games over P2P. Hopefully they suffer the same fate as the RIAA.
"...Yahoo is not the only American company helping the Chinese government repress its people..." Don't we all do that as consumers when we buy Chinese products? If you think the living standards of most of the Chinese has improved, think again.
I think the fatal mistake made by the U.S. Government is to assume that as the fortunes of the country improve, so will the hunger for democracy. Couldn't be more wrong. There was a great article in Time that interviewed a few Chinese in their early 20's and for the most part, so long as they could keep consuming stuff, they could care less about their freedoms. The only thing that increased wealth is bringing is a build up in the Chinese military.
Don't connect critical infrastructure to public networks?? Seriously, what use could Pentagon users possibly have for the public internet? Granted if they *did* introduce a virus or trojan into Pentagon computers, at least it would be a little harder to get information back out.
So auto insurance companies can get away with charging more for bad driving habits, but people are bitching that they're being charged more for being unhealthy? When did personal responsibility go out the window?
If a Winders PC can be owned in under 2 minutes on a normal broadband connection (say 6Mbps), how long till her PC is owned?/me tries to come up with a formula

Not to incite a flame war or anything, but to me, a 10 year-old kid getting their MS certification somewhat devalues the certification (see, it's so easy that a kid can get it). True, she may be an incredibly gifted child, but pointing and clicking in MS Word is hardly a brain drain.
"I build systems to disseminate information, commit digital piracy,...."
Remember in the Grokster ruling, it was the fact that Grokster was advertised as a means to commit copy right infringement that they were ruled against. Nowhere in that statement does Cohen advertise BitTorrent specifically as a tool to commit copy right infringement. Get a grip.
Also a lot of employers won't even listen to you if you don't have a degree, especially in the computer industry.
We use Monster.com quite a bit here at my job and one of the filters we use is the "education level". That means that anybody without a degree won't show up in queries and therefore is never even considered for a job.
Mr. Fusion ftw!
Shouldn't that be the Ceiling Cat 3000(TM)??
"Red Hat purchases Microsoft patent license"
Anyone want to guess at the odds of that?
Don't they do that already (WGA, Activation, et. al)?

"Boot Camp doesn't work in 10.4 anymore? Upgrade to Leopard!" Planned obsolescence strikes again!
I only wonder how this would affect legitimate TCP resets...
The Pirate Bay asks for donations to buy the island of Antigua.

That said I would much rather have stable software than an early release date. That goes for anyone, not just Apple.
Well shit, that means that Duke Nukem Forever should *never* crash when it comes out! wink, wink...

John Travolta just got a hard-on...
(He's an aviation nut for those that don't know)
I'd say by how little the OS gets in your way.
Apple already beat them to the punch. Wait, wrong Beamer...
