    the video game industry has finally woken up and realized that in order to stay strong going forward, it can't rely on 13-year-old pimple-faced kids to promote its agenda. I guess making a good product is a failing business model? Can't wait till they go after kids sharing games over P2P. Hopefully they suffer the same fate as the RIAA.

    "...Yahoo is not the only American company helping the Chinese government repress its people ..." Don't we all do that as consumers when we buy Chinese products? If you think the living standards of most of the Chinese has improved, think again.

    I think the fatal mistake made by the U.S. Government is to assume that as the fortunes of the country improve, so will the hunger for democracy. Couldn't be more wrong. There was a great article in Time that interviewed a few Chinese in their early 20's and for the most part, so long as they could keep consuming stuff, they could care less about their freedoms. The only thing that increased wealth is bringing is a build up in the Chinese military.

    Don't connect critical infrastructure to public networks?? Seriously, what use could Pentagon users possibly have for the public internet? Granted if they *did* introduce a virus or trojan into Pentagon computers, at least it would be a little harder to get information back out.

    Not to incite a flame war or anything, but to me, a 10 year-old kid getting their MS certification somewhat devalues the certification (see, it's so easy that a kid can get it). True, she may be an incredibly gifted child, but pointing and clicking in MS Word is hardly a brain drain.

    Remember in the Grokster ruling, it was the fact that Grokster was advertised as a means to commit copy right infringement that they were ruled against. Nowhere in that statement does Cohen advertise BitTorrent specifically as a tool to commit copy right infringement. Get a grip.

    Also a lot of employers won't even listen to you if you don't have a degree, especially in the computer industry.

    We use Monster.com quite a bit here at my job and one of the filters we use is the "education level". That means that anybody without a degree won't show up in queries and therefore is never even considered for a job.
