This is almost as depressing as the time I realized that Intel did not plan on making an entire wireless network in the US for use with Centrino.
I was curious when the Intel trucks would come around the corner to put up new cellular towers and then start sending us a bill as the new ISP.

Unfortunately, everyone's glad about making new hardware but the implementations are weak. WiFi is wonderous but I don't have it everywhere I go, I don't even have it at home (but if I drive down the street and park in my neighbor's driveway it's always free!).

Although his views are important and yadda yadda internet: do it for the kids junk is cool and everything I don't think you'll see much of a change in how ISPs take control of areas.

Give me $2 million and a gigabit line to my household, I can do as much as any one of these dudes toward making internet [pornography] more available to everyone.

  4. Re:Main advantage on The Future of Firefox · · Score: 0

It's very true, Firefox doesn't even need a large market share to accomplish what it does on a regular basis: force browser conglomerates to dedicate themselves to making a better browser, just to compete with the potential of Firefox taking a large market share from them.

And likewise, Firefox (although I have no "evidence" but this is "slashdot;") has the potential to block ad pages and other annoyances, as well as the integration with extensions which therefore threatens all aspects of the browser market even more (but this is all common-knowledge).

Yet, the fact remains that Firefox (and Mozilla in general) is true to the acclaimation that competition strengthens the consumer with the gift of choice.

Now Google (tm) just needs to make an OS and I'll be all set.

Funny that although unix developers can't buy the old USSR because of funds they can still dish out a better OS than Gates can. Personally, I'm kinda worried that he might have died in a fire 10 years ago and they're really just giving Americans bad software while they've already mastered cloning and human-like robot manufacturing.

We all know that Harvard has to say that they won't admit the students that checked their applications early but last time I recall knowledge wasn't illegal. Great thing this is coming from a college. I just happen to think that Harvard might not even take any action against those who did it, liberals (like john kerry) and liberal colleges do happen to be very good liars according to Mr. Bush.

What a horrible waste of time it is to announce that you refuse to accept students who want to go to your school. Why else would they check their status if not out of desperation to know.

Truly there is a void here between understanding and what really occured. Good thing they posted the information at the safest place possible, The Internet. Not only that but a month early. Wow.

    Wow.

Somewhat depressing because even if you graduate from Harvard with a Cosmetics degree (had they had such a thing) you could go work for Donald Trump right away because you got out of an Ivy.

For anyone else applying to Harvard let this be a lesson to you! Don't use the internet if you wish to know things!

In fact you might as well castrate yourself right now and save them the trouble for when you accidentally try and pay your application fee online and seem to stumble into $8million dollars of unmarked, nonconsecutive bills.
