Please do not talk about Ralph Nader that way. Ralph is an amazing American whose insights about consumer advocacy have saved millions of lives. I strongly recommend that you vote for him in the 2004 Presidential Election.

I tried to load this so-called "Channel 9" site using Mozilla Firefox 0.8, and I was shocked by what I saw. Not one, not two, but nine Windows Media player objects were embedded in the page, and all of them started playing at the same time! All this nerdy cacophony sounded like a Slashdot Meetup was coming out of my speakers.
Needless to say, I am appalled that Microsoft has shunned well-regarded web standards in designing this so-called "blog." I plan to blog about it myself. What does the blogosphere think?
Please post a link from a credible news source. Forbes magazine has an established record of anti-Linux bias. I'm sure you can find a web site that is a bit more level-headed.

God, what kind of retard still uses Internet Explorer? I myself have owned your computer about 50 times.
Here's a tip: Spybot and Ad-Aware don't really work. They're paid off by the real spyware makers to not detect the real spyware. Don't believe me? Here's a screen shot of what your desktop looks like.
Hi, folks. As a fellow webmaster, I have already started to deploy the next generation of advertisements onto my clients' web sites. Basically, the new advertisements simply cannot be blocked -- unless you don't want to see the web site!
Let's say, for example, that you want to click a value-added page positioner (which Joe User might call a "link"). That VAPP (value-added page positioner) goes to one of my interstitial ads, which could be images, Flash, or even text! After you're forced to stare at and click the link to continue, you get a requested pop-up window (you know, like the ones you don't block) with advertising content.
Frankly, I scoff at Slashdots who think they can outwit advertising technology. The content wars are on, lamers, and I'm winning.

Often, people like to claim that the media is "liberal." Michael Sims is like the communist handing out poorly-photocopied fliers on the street corner. "Watch out! Micro$oft-Di$ney-Wal*Ma$t is infringing on your rights!"
Of course, what Michael doesn't want you to know is that he's a hypocritical domain stealing fraud. Michael Sims may care about your rights online, but he sure as hell doesn't care about mine.
Of course, Michael's also a coward. Rather than reply to posts he doesn't like, he merely moderates them without comment.
I propose a total boycott of Slashdot and all its advertisers. This injustice shall not stand.
Always buy an extended warranty on a laptop. The screen broke on my 15" Titanium Powerbook, for which I had purchased AppleCare. That $350 investment got me a $1,000 screen replacement.
My life companion had a similar experience with his Sony VAIO laptop. Had he not purchased the extended warranty plan, he would have lost $1,000 or more by replacing a screen on a laptop that was only two years old.
Clearly you are an ignorant luser. I use a Microsoft mouse with my Linux box and all of my cohorts do the same. Microsoft doesn't actually manufacture the mice; they merely put their name on some reasonably-priced, high-quality kit.
What, do you think Microsoft mice only work on Microsoft Winblows? Mine works with Linux just fine, thank you very much.

The FunHi site is positively crawling with neo-negroid "hip" language such as that. Frankly, I choose not to patronise a site with such a flagrant disregard for the grammatical conventions of my English language.
Yahoo!'s search page is an abomination. I know what "News" is, so why clutter the interface with a colourful graphic?
The faux-tabbed interface that Yahoo! uses for its so-called "search" page is nothing more than a poorly-thought-out, marketroid-approved, ad-laden pissmonger of a front-end. Good day, sir.
They're clearly marked as "Sponsored Links." I can tell that they're sponsored without any sort of colour coding. Perhaps Joe Sixpack American might not find out until after he clicks a link. However, sometimes you can find truly useful, genius links in the sponsored links column.
Frankly, I feel that Google can do no wrong.

I happen to run a wireless hot spot called "Seth's Hot" in Austin. Yesterday morning, a gentleman named Michael Simpson came up to me and asked me whether I was interested in "co-marketing" (such marketroid speak, ugh) with AMD. I said yes, if the following conditions were met:
AMD would give me at least $200 in free merchandise.
I would be able to use Linux.
They said no: (1) I would just get a bunch of stickers, and (2) I would have to switch to proprietary, closed-source Windows software. I said good day.
That night, I caught Mr. Simpson trying to break into my establishment ("Seth's Hot") to plaster AMD stickers all around. I chased him off, but he left a bloody glove behind. Do I have a case against Mr. Simpson?
In conclusion, please boycott AMD and give your money to open-source-friendly companies like Transmeta and IBM (maker of the popular Apple chip).

Windows "Datacenter Server 2003" is nothing more than Windows Server 2003 with a few extra trimmings and a substantially higher price tag. Microsoft is trying to profit off of its clueless followers like yourself, who blindly accept the company's word as gospel.
Frankly, if Windows 2000 Datacenter Server was the "mainframe killer," why would they develop a separate Windows 2003 Datacenter Server? Aren't all the mainframes dead by now, Jimmy? I guess nobody uses mainframes any more! Right, Jimmy?
Every year we get a Fair and Balanced (don't sue me, Fox News Channel!) look at corporate-sponsored "studies" that do nothing but arouse fear in the genitals of normal citizenry.
I'd like to announce my continuing boycott of CNN and all other media outlets.

I wish Lucas & Co. would get the thing going a little faster. I can't really imagine waiting until 1997 to see all nine parts of the Star Wars series.
Michael Sims is clearly too bored with hijacking domain names to do any real work. How typical of him.

Microsoft "iPod Killer" to launch this year.
Excuse me whilst I laugh. I'm laughing now.
Remember when Microsoft positioned Windows 2000 Datacenter Server as a "mainframe killer"? I remember a lot of sysadmins laughing back then. Microsoft sold fewer than 1,000 copies of Datacenter Server before withdrawing it from the market.
Apple has solved the problem of how to play digital media on the go. They can build their empire on that, and that alone.
