You are lucky. I just bought mine two weeks ago from Apple, and did the free engraving deal (which makes the iPod unreturnable). I am not happy about it.
Hey, if all you need to get a G-Mail account from you, MillenCent, is to be under 15(check), a prodigy(uh, check?), and own a web hosting company(check); then hey, sign me up. : )
I used to share on Napster and the like- but I do not anymore. Let me tell you why:
1. Our demands have been met, we have iTunes, which is a great program. I do not mind paying a dollar for a song a like, especially when I know how much is going to the artist, and to Apple, and to the record company.
2. If I am low on money for a month, there is an almost unlimited supply of free music on the internet. Try OCRemix or go to LegalTorrents.com. It is really amazing.
3. Has anyone else noticed the dropping CD prices? They are. And it is good. For example, I recently purchased the new Outkast joint release for about $15 from FYE. Fifteen dollars for two cd's of very quality music- one of the first two cd's in a long time where I can honestly say I enjoyed each and every track.
The arguments against file sharing are becoming weak and outdated. I do not necessarily agree with the barrage against filesharers that is happening now, but they are losing money, and that is not arguable. However much they are losing might be, but they are losing money, and having bad publicity.
In conclusion, iTunes, low prices, good songs, and legal free songs have changed the way I listen to music. I hope we continue to make progress.

I agree totally. I have an A70, and am in love. I made a 20 by 25 print and it was as clear as clear can be. Great deals. Good luck.
Try and get the kids of the community first. Do it by first catering to the techies among the kids, high school or middle school age. If you get one or two of them, they will tell their friends, who will tell their parents, who will tell their friends. Ad infinium. Also do it the other way at the same time by getting the tech oriented adults in the community. Get them by having classes they will like, example Beginners Linux, or RIAA vs. You. Good Luck.
This seems like a godsend for many of the bands my friends are in. For 40 dollars they have the chance to be distributed, instead of spending much more on CD's. What are the chances apple will accept them though? It seems like this is what they wanted from that conference they held with the Indie labels.
Correction: I am my middle schools right now. I did our schools year book, and also set the new standards for our end of the year slide show- went from using powerpoint and a cd player to using imovie and quicktime with two canon mindv's.
it has to do with computers, it is creative, it gets you actual praise, and it allows you freedom. reply for details.
Don't mod me down as a troll, because I speak from now. Not doing your homework does not show a statement, nor prove a point. Yes, you are doing obscenely simple review papers, but it prepares you for paperwork in life.
And, btw, parent nice sig.
Hey Sevn,
Just some news you might be interested in- the GMan in Hershey is terrible right now. The new places in this area are Tratola Fratali(sp), and also some other place that escapes my mind. Where in PA did you live? I live in Lebanon right now, and would be really interested in talking to another/.er from the area.
I live in Lebanon, and I know exactly what he is talking about. The girls in the summer are very nice, down by lakes and stuff. Hershey is a big part of the area, from business to the Herhsye Bears. The rivers and strams and that are exactly as he understands. If whoever wrote this gets this, please email me at canyougrokme@hotmail.com
I am currently a fourteen year old, and I, as many others here at /., love technology. The most important thing, I think, is to make sure your school is flexible. Instead of sitting in a study hall an hour a day, the computer teaches let me work on the web sites, on the year book, on the end of the year slide show, and sometimes on the server. If the school your child is going to right now does not have a fairly "open to new ideas" computer staff, look for an alternative.
I totally agree with this. I am fourteen right now, and I use a "modifed hunt and peck". I can type about 110 a minute, but I am pretty sure I will not be able to go any faster with out going to Home Row Style. DONT LET YOUR KIDS HUNT AND PECK!
I live in Hershey, and they dont give tours of the actual factory(they stopped in the 70s), but they do have an excellent multimedia free ride tour with interactive elements- and free candy at the end. And the museum of hershey is good too, and also the theme park.
I am just a 8th grader, so 'scuse me if this is a stupid question. Is assembly only command prompt, or is it both? I have a bI-83+ graphing calculator in my Algebra Two class, and it runs Basic and Assembly... Why can't I program the assembly code on the calculator?
Just like Windows is standard, and Apple is "better."
This is awesome to hear, I am purchasing one tommorow at King of Prussia, Pennsylvania for school.

Hey, could I have one? Fifteen year old student living in PA.

Tiger Direct has pretty good prices on tech stuff.

I don't know what Google your using, but on mine IE isn't even on the first page.
How exactly will they enforce this? Will it be like a second degree offence, like seat belts are in some US states?

Why I have not ever heard of this GPU before, I do not know. Anyone else not heard of it?
What about a comman console that controls the track and has cameras on the trains that you can switch through
that reminds me of a bad joke what was the new pirate movie rated arghhhh
I have seen net meeting used for that very purpose about 2 years ago. its already on the comps, so why not try it?

why were they cheating seti, a not for profit orginization, when they could be doing actual work.
