One of the advantages of CDs and DVDs is that they are robust and cannot be wiped clean. There is no necessity, as required by s 50A, to make back ups.
So that's his argument against the whole "backup" line... Obviously all the people in this thread talking about damaged discs must be delusional! Oh and I assume he meant "can" instead of "cannot";) Further down it also claims Sony will replace any damaged media - anyone ever tried to do that?
No idea if it's a Windows specific thing, but there's a Release Notification option in the Plugins section of the Preferences... Handy this morning, told me to go to 0.80:)
Didn't have an option to download and install the latest version though.
Very true. But every single person who has had a play with mine loves it:) That's obviously not a statistically significant sample size, but I'd still love to be the one taking the money when they are finally available over here in the UK (I got mine on holiday).
Never mind the practicalities of them not allowing people from other countries to use the original itunes site, they are actually different. The sample searches I did showed a much inferior selection on the UK version compared to the USA one - I guess they haven't licensed the same things in different places...
Maybe if everyone starting using the "Dissatisfied? Help us improve" feedback form at the bottom of the search results, they'd eventually take the hint. Or is that just totally inappropriate optimism?:) To be honest, I can't believe they aren't aware of the problem - so is it "can't fix" or is it "won't fix"?
An authoritative UN report in 2000 concluded that there is no scientific evidence of any significant radiation-related health effects to most people exposed.
(and I was in the Technical department), it's interesting to see that there is no comment in there as to whether the technology actually *does* anything useful! Draw your own conclusions as to whether the main benefits are technological or marketing... I can assure you that this racket is something we looked at in some depth, and who knows what rule changes may appear in the future... (although the whole process of changing rules is pretty tortuous)
Disclaimer - I don't work there any more so these aren't official comments;) Although I'm still writing my PhD thesis into the mechanics of tennis balls that the ITF funded...

If you haven't done so, sign your mobile number (as well as your landline) up to TPS - I did that and haven't had a single SMS spam for months now...

You're obviously not as l33t as he is ;)
(and no i haven't downloaded it, before you accuse me of being a dirty pirate too)
PC and Mac: Internet Explorer 5 & above, Netscape 6 & above Unix: Mozilla
Not much use to me until it works in Opera, I'm afraid! Although anything with tabbed browsing makes google searching a much happier place...
