I have some friends that where laughing at a guy on a moped. I said those exact words to them, "he's getting a 100 miles to the gallon." They stopped laughing.
Bah. I can't believe people are buy this thing for 5,000 bucks. I can see a nitch marked it such as the mentioned security gard at disney land but not for the every day joe. To expensive and range isn't long enough.
When I was 15 I didn't walk to school ether but I wasn't to fucking lazy that I had to have a 5,000 dollar toy drag my fat ass around. I had a $35 skateboard and $35 was expensvie for one then.
Leaning in the direction you want you fat ass to go isn't excersise. Now a skateboard that requires skill. Ditch your fucking over price toy and get somethign that requires you to do something. A skateboard or bicycle comes to mind. Your body will thank you and you will look much cooler, instead just a fat lazy geek.
It never was a requirement or at least on my part it wasn't. When they would ask me my reply ranged from "I dont' want to be on your mailing list" to a simple "No." While every now and then it would generate that deer in the headlights response most of the time they just simply type something in, I'm assuming they had numbers for that, and move on.
The only real problem I had not giving out my number was when one new guy said it was require. I politly informed him this sale wasn't. His manager was listening and took over the sale. No problem from there.
As much as I hate to say it but he is right. If these bastards where to dissappear some other piece of shit would float to the top. I think the reference to the drug war is right on the mark. Killing off the suppliers are not going to win the war.
We have to kill off the market. Laws that target spammers simply don't work. Spammers are to hard to track down and to hard to get into court. It's much simpler to change email address and move on.
The laws need to focused on the fuckers that hire these bastards. Every spam I have ever seen has an address, webpage, or phone number on it. That is an easy target. Sue fuck wad on the end of that phone number. Once these business owner realise that they can't get away with it, the market will dry up and spam will go away. At least most of it would.
Sure enough someone is going to say some of these business don't know they are spamming. Well I say that is just to damn bad. If a business is going to spend money on advertising they should ask question on what form that advertising is going to take.
Then don't buy them. I you don't think there is nothing wrong with the current rules then skip the update. If you think the new changes are worth the $$$ feel happy to shell out for them.
I for one will probably skip the updated rules but then again I'm still playing second edition and sometimes first edition.
Giving away code is one thing but giving away someone else copyright is another. I imagine if they are going to be distributing stuff that is in the 3rd edition rules they had to make some sort of deal with WotC to do so. WotC is going to want some cash out of the deal so naturally Codemonkey is going to have to charge for this.
Before people light the tourches and storm the castle lets remember WotC past. They have been a lot better company than TSR ever was with IP stuff. The cost of the downloads might be reasonable. Its no differet than when they released the code to the Quake engine but still required you to buy the data paks to run it on Linux.
With WotC past efforts I'm willing to give them more than the doubt before I tar and feather anyone.
Ahh yes the good old days. I started with the silver chain mail rules oh so many years ago. Back then you could pick up the phone, call up and talk to Gary Gygax in person. I had a 30 min. long distance conversation with him over some rules. Hell, dad busted my ass for that one.
Anyway, computer games have a long way to go before they can catch up with pen and paper. Neverwinter Nights seems to be the cloest they have came. But still have a long way to go.
TSR did do one thing I liked, they released just about everything 2nd edition to pdf format. I don't play 3rd editon and have 6 gigabytes of 2nd editon in soft format. When I do have a game I just toss everything on to my laptop and off I go.
Every thing is cross referenced and indexed in acrobat. That to me is the best use for computers in AD&D. I also have the Core Rules software and that can be useful.
Screw all tax software! Find yourself a mad dog tax accountant that is not H&R Block. You want one that hates the IRS but with a good reputation.
My story is I used TurboTax for 8 years and always wound up oweing or getting back chump change. Sometimes it wasn't even worth my time for the refund. I took my last years return to Mad Dog Accountant(tm) and he tore the IRS a new asshole. Got me back 1500 bucks for just sitting down in the chair.
Then he got to work. I handed him all my recipts, computer, cellphone, mileage, all of it. When he was done I got back 3,000 clams! And it only took him 20 mins. Sure he cost me 150 bucks but damn he was worth it.
Okay, offtopic here but the banner ad above me says DirecTV DSL. I find banner ads annoying yes, but can't they at least be upto date.
Now on topic. Cingular charges me $2.50 for 100 text message that I send or recieve. After that they charge me $0.10 for each one I send and recieve. So basiclly they are double taxing. They charge the poor fucker.10 to send it and the poor fucker, me,.10 to recieve it.
No, this isn't a cause for lifetime imprisonment. More likely a cause for a few swift wacks with a bamboo cain or a cat 'o' nine tails. These are just nusance attacks and nothing more.
Sorry man, there are no independent stores left in my town. Blockbusters ran them all out. So I guess you have good point there. Well anyway, I don't do blockbusters but maybe once or twice a year. I realy prefer to buy my dvd's than rent them.
Are we really losing anything is my question? Who wants to spend 3 bucks to download a 700mb file of crappy video? Even with the fastest broadband it is still going to take a hour or two to download the thing. I don't know about a lot of people but I don't want to watch a movie on my computer anyway. I want to watch it on my 52" HDTV.
No thanks. When I want to rent a movie I will just pick it up at blockbusters.
Amen, but if you really want to spend some money. You can get one of those hi-tech magnisem bikes for 1,500.

Rinse the plates? What is this rinse thing you talk about?

I don't see why it wouldn't support mp3's. My DVD player is from Sony too and it supports mp3 cd-r's.
I did give my love a CPU instead of a ring one time. I wonder if that might have had a hand in us breaking up a few days later?

It did, you just slept through it. That will teach you not to hit the snooze button.

It is true. I have a friend from China and I ask him. Yes, it is true.
Who shot JR? -- If your old enough to understand what that means your to old.
So basiclly if you have a 15,000 tv you should have no problems with this DVD. Does anyone else see the flaw in this logic here?
Well I watched it last night and I can say it lived up to it's name sake. Someone got took and it wasn't by they aliens.
Ahh, only if I had some mod points. Beutiful, brings a tear to my eye. You don't mind if I print it out and frame it do you?
I was wondering where I stole that from. I can't believe it got modded up to 5 thought.

Unix is user friendly, it's just more picky who it's friends are.
