    Personally when I'm playing scrabble, If it's not in my paper dictionary from 1952, it doesn't count. If it is, it's all good. The best thing you can do is to mutually decide one place you will check words BEFORE you start playing.

    Yup, I've have even cheap plastic ones go though the washer and dryer more than once and they still work.

    Yup, in Canada too. I'm pretty sure that in the US though it's a-okay (hence all the tourist machines where you can flatten a penny into design).

    Yup, this is why Ticketmaster is going for 'paperless' tickets for the premium seats now. You need you credit card and ID to get in, so no reselling. Unfortunately like DRM this is a pain in the ass for the rest of us, no buying tickets for gifts, everyone who you bought tickets for has to show up with you to get in, and god only knows what you have to go through if you lose that credit card and have it replaced with a different number!

    Just redirect them to an unsigned page, 4/5 people won't notice the difference (they've all clicked the don't warn me again check boxes at some point of other).

    Okay, okay, nothing is impossible. However if the coax was stapled to the studs he wouldn't be able to use it to pull in the wire and he'd have to fish it in which could be very impractical if the walls are insulated or have horizontal braces between the studs.

    The review on the site look good. If it's not possible to pull cat5 in, I'd say that's his best best.

    Unfortunately that would be dead slow (certainly no faster than his current wireless).

    Really though, most people will benifit from these tags, I think the cameras recording them is great.

    However I think websites should strip this content when uploaded, or at least offer some kind of warning to users that the content exists (reading exif data is simple, it could easily show them what is in the photo and ask them what they'd like to do..)

    Yup, My 1 1/4 yr old Dell battery died over a period of a week. I had acceptable life and by the end of the week it was completely shot. No OS upgrade involved...

    Block heaters are an option on most gas vehicles, both of mine have them although I rarely use them (only on VERY cold days).

    I installed DDWrt on my Linksys and noticed a speed decrease, although it's completely worth it as I no longer have to reboot it daily...

    That said, even getting food at your local store is indirectly using using the road (to get the food to you) which results indirectly in you paying the road tax which in my opinion is completely fair.

    Lots and lots of extra reads and writes, which are unnecessary as SSDs do not benefit from defragmentation.

    Well, don't worry.. The dell shouldn't last too long. We had some 1710n used as workgroup printer that were replace twice under the 3 year warranty! (over 3/4 have in the company were replaced at least once during their warranty)

    Yes, so long as the printer supports PCL5 (which almost all HP laserjets do) it should be nearly as universal as one which supports postscript. However that said, if he is looking for postscript, I don't believe the 1xxx series support that.
