No it shows why we need to try and come up with a good reason to switch. Linux can't act like windows. We can make it look like windows and have for a long time (fwm95), bur it still doesn't act like windows and reall won't ever. But if linux has a killer app we could overcome that. We need to try to innovate not copy.
It's a tv. Tvi is only 320x240 (or close to that). HDTV is 640x480. I have found that tv actually looks worse on a larger screen. ex: I prefer to watch TV on my old 15" monitor(1024x768) than my noce 17"(1280x1024). The picture looks strange at extemely high res.
And if it wasn't for that government interfearance Americans would have to compete for jobs with people (usually imagrants) who would be PERFECTLY WILLING to work for less than a living wage. We'd have another pweiod like the industial revolution. No thank you.
What if i want to use a different finger. Will the system allow this. What if i want to send someone else, can i do this. I think this a horrible example of DRM. This is Kroger saying if i lose my thumb i can't get food.
The only differences between now and 2050 will be the new computer will have an LCD an even more bloated OS, the car in the driveway will be even bigger, and the kid's toys will be louder, move more and need bigger batteries.
You may want to look in to first creating a giu-less app and then writing a separate gui for it (like mplayer and mldonkey among others). This may make porting adn keeping with interface guidelines easier, in addition others could write the gui (if you let them) which would make your product more enticing.
I have been using qt for my development. Since i don't have a windoze compiler i haven't used it cross platform, but signals/slots are great and designer is a well done tool but not necessary.
Nice.
Does it subscribe to the Apple interface guidelines on it's own or would certain parts need redoing? But for *NIX/Win32 tghis looks interesting.
Any thoughts on this vs qt
Since when is "Microsoft Outlook shipped with most Windows computers"?
most computers (especially corp) come w/ m$ office which includes outlook. And all of them have Outlook Express.
It is almost like suing someone for using a video camera to record a rented movie on TV
you're not allowed to do that.
the analogy would be, it is like suing someone for recording a purcghased movie from the tv. Or better like suing Panasonic for people coping rented movies.
If M$ loses this will be another precedent for stupid patent cases and M$ will only ahve to change a few things or pay them off to become legal.
If M$ wins no change.
Of course they're still evil.
Moderated as funny, but if ther was a viable way to do it, i'd pay the artists directly for the music i download. Pay them what they would recieve from a cd sale.

That way i can pour glue in the socket and they won't e ablwe to get the data off since we all know proprietary connectors are impossible to find.
Damnit i'll add a room for my 100" Dimondtron CRT. That would be sweet. I'd probobly get a postcard from GA Power too.

Does it do C/C++? Shouldn't the compiler be gjc not gcj? Isn't blackdown already free/open or am i missing something?

yea, you can at least burn coal for heat. cd's stink when burned.

I think so. I've been getting sound-spam again.

what do you do after you download both songs of gnutella. and the linux client is KazaaLite w/ wine.
Kazaa lite also works in linux with wine
i'd take a 399 pc over a processor, though. I've found lone processors to be kinda useless except as combs.
i use new it's just enabling features a few people use. their reasoning is that way you'll know they exist and can turn em off.
