at least they got rid of the beggars who wouldn't take "No" for an answer from AC1....and now have musician beggars who you can forcibly push and they get the point and move away (or you can throw money at).
I remember in AC1, I had to go around and take out the beggars first before doing a mission.
Sorry, I was trying to be polite: ME2 pales in comparison.
And by "forked," it gave you "choices" but it all lead to "sh*t"
*SPOILER ALERT* Some of your crew will die if you can't keep them loyal. I believe the minimum is one crew, no matter how you play, will die. *END SPOILER ALERT*
Plus the weapons were weak though being able to upgrade the ship's weapons was cool...but since they don't have "space" battles (aside from the cut scenes/scripted stuff)...it was pointless.
whatever the game may be, I'd like the games to NOT be annoying.
Though replay-ability and story are crucial, so is not being annoying or restrictive (not just limited to being too "console-y").
for instance, lately, Zynga's games have been annoying...trying to peddle their "wares" so much that it just got to the point that I don't want to play their games. And also the same goes for the PC version of Assassin's Creed 2. In certain missions, the camera angles are locked so you have to learn re-adapt the controls as it won't move as it will on the screen. (and I'm not including the intro logo videos which you can't skip...legitimately)
Some games, I still play...even though they have been out for years. Valve for one allows you to skip the intro logo vids, it is customizable, communities exist and it lacks major annoyances.
in that sense, Mass Effect 2 falls into that annoyance category when compared to it's predecessor. For one, it wasn't as "upgradable"/customizable as the first; shields sucked monkey testicles, and it forked too much compared to the first.

strange....but not unexpected from Crytek, among a growing number of dev studios who are becoming disconnected with their customers (PC gamers) which in turn drives down their own sales. Look at Ubisoft or even "CRYSIS" (which has been categorized by many as being a "tech demo" rather than a game)
I do have to admit, the original Far Cry was awesome even with the gameplay and plot but pretty much every game coming from Crytek since then have been alienating gamers (not to mention their controversial comments that seems to also further anger their potential customers).
Perhaps they need to not follow the footsteps of the R*AA/M*AA and actually concentrate on games that gamers will actually like to play. Why else would their competitors such as Valve can make money even with such out-dated game engines or their infamous "Valve time" schedule?
last year, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) changed their rules to classify any lithium-based battery (even the tiny ones found in wrist-watches) as a "Hazardous Material" and under the Universal Postal Convention, it prohibits hazardous materials from being sent internationally by mail (nationally, most Universal Postal Union member countries restrict it to ground-only mail). http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/use/restriction/other_en.html
The restriction also prohibits electronic devices with batteries in them unless they remove the battery. Third-party (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) parcel companies are exempt though mainly because they have their own planes though airlines that also provide air-cargo services may have other restrictions as well as similar restrictions in certain cases.

bet the robot became self-aware and decided "to hell with this....I'm making a break for it!"
Now, it's probably in league with those sharks with laser beams.
you can always use iptables and hashlimit module to limit the number of connections to port 22 as well as using sshdfilter
Or you make and add a surge protector circuit to your car?
Or even better....fashion a EMP reflector so it knocks out the car chasing you.
