The first thing I did after downloading one of the photos was look at the exif info - yep the serial Nr is there. I would think all they need to do is get a court order for the registration record. The camera was a digital Rebel, not a cheap P&S, so I would bet he registered it.
So Apple is doing well in the consumer market? What is their market share? Any higher than even Linux? I guess they have a higher share than BeOS and Amiga OS.
No wonder the original submission was anonymous. I guess it gives the rabid MS haters something to talk about.
Vista is priced too high - MS is bad, costs too much If Vista was free - MS is bad, hurting competition
There is competition - Apple and a zillion flavors of free linux. Are you admitting that free linux can't compete with overpriced Vista(with all of it's possible flaws)?
I agree. Yes, I have a passport and have traveled to Europe and Japan. But now that I have a family, and because of the expense and hassle of air travel, our family vacations are strictly by car. There is plenty for us to see in our country while riding in the comfort of our minivan. From deserts, sea shores, mountains and the plains - lots to do and see.
Checkout what happened in the US during WWI. Censors in all the media, people being hung by mobs for not buying Liberty Bonds. I was reading "The Great Influenza: The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague In History by John M. Barry" He describes what went on and the current situation is nowhere as bad as it was back then, in terms of individual liberty.
Where are you going, if you are constantly getting spyware? I have yet to find a problem with any of my CPUs. Maybe you are exaggerating things a little?
Maybe Peter Jackson can learn from Lucas. He could re-release Lord of the Rings with a few changes, then release it later on HD-DVDs. Then later, after all of the "Special Collectors Edition" and "Extra Special Collectors Edition - Directors Cut" haver been out awhile, release the original LOTR on HD-DVD in multiple various editions. He could be making money for years.
He meant a rover that works.
Maybe they need to get an education and get a real job, not something suited for part-time students.
In the mean time, I am shopping for groceries at Wal-Mart cause I don't want to get screwed over-paying for the same items at your grocery store.

I have seen plenty of legit privately owned copies of Office. But of course, the owners were grownups with jobs.....
xbox and PS3 - Sony (according to CNET) is loosing more than $400 million.
Maybe we can steal something that Brazil has paid money to develop. Oh, wait...there isn't anything.
"Everthing after 2 is very rare anyway."
Yeah, only a small segment of the population will want to do video, digital photography, make DVD's and play games anyway....
"I would gladly pay 60% extra to not have to fight with the dregs of humanity.."
Us ordinary folks are honored by your esteemed presence here at Slashdot. Must have been horrible to mix with the common folk at Target.
It will just be more stuff to uninstall along with the AOL trial software, etc.

As opposed to the greed of the people who don't want to bother writing anything original and just want to make money off of someone else's work.
I don't know... the declining dollar makes US good cheaper and non-US goods more expensive. Sounds like a good deal for the US to me.
Plenty of people here in Texas drive like they are blind!
Does the Canon have a Sony sensor?

And how many in China are living in poverty compared to any western country or Japan? Of course China is improving, you have nowhere to go but up.
Yep, we can rest easy - the UN will solve the problem. GWB can sit back and let the UN lead us to a more peaceful world.
We will see what happens - critics say the US shouldn't "go it alone". That the US should work with the world community to solve problems.
End result - we will see an Iranian made nuke explode in Israel, UK or USA someday.

"I am happy (and proud) to say that only 58% of the visitors to my various websites use IE. "
Whatever makes you happy....

"savvy users "
Nerdy dorks that view OS as a religion, not as a means of running an application to perform a task.
