Exactly. And even "American-standard" cost-of-living is drug down by the lower wage base. I remember seeing luxury condos in the Greenbelt being priced in the low-$30s. In any US market, the same unit would have gone for 10x that.
Since the software is bundled with hardware, and they only sell updates for the OS, not clean installs, OS X drains a lot of money from the company without much in the way of tangible revenue.
What? Apple sells Mac OS X and Mac OS X server as full retail products. The only current, paid-for OS upgrade that I know of is a licensing upgrade from the 10 user version of server to the unlimited user version of server.
Ira Flatow (yes, of Newton's Apple fame) covered this on the latest edition of Science Friday. They have the segment available as an MP3. (The whole weekly show is also available as a podcast at feed://www.sciencefriday.com/audio/scifriaudio.xml if you're interested)
You don't even need to send a MMS of the barcode - just process it onboard the cell and send just the code number. Or, for existing phones w/o cameras or the inability to run user apps, key-in the human readable and send it off.
'To', where the 'o' is moved closer to the 'T', isn't a ligature --- it's a kerned pair. A ligature is one more joined letter combination (e.g. fi, fl, Th, tt, ffl, etc.) to prevent collision of the characters.
I really don't have a horse in this race, but Safari does have a JavaScript console in its debug menu.
% defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu
I don't think your solution will work --- AppleCare transfers with sale of equipment, meaning you'd lose the 'halo' protection afforded by listing the display with the Mini(s).
Lack of an AC adapter is not such a big deal: iPods charge over Firewire or USB2 at the same rate they do from an AC adapter. I bought my 3G iPod the day they were released, and have only used the AC adapter once or twice. I don't think you'll be missing it much.
RTFA: "In addition to scrolling, the driver also turns left clicks into right clicks whenever two fingers are on the trackpad. This works with the trackpad button as well as with click-and-drag movement."

Something is wrong with your friend's Nano or they have crazy usage patterns. I can easily get 15 hours out of my 5th gen iPod.

I don't think Scotch was ever a company - pretty sure it's always been a brand of 3M.

Not that it matters now, but you should/could have probably flown standby to Minneapolis and then pick-up an easy connection to Cedar Rapids. FYI.
All iPods with a dock connector can charge via FireWire or USB2. The iPod Video and Nano will charge via Firewire, but can only be synched via USB.

Just because an image appears grey does not mean it is composed of only grey colors. Think warm grey vs. cool grey.
I can't speak for the Windows version, but the MacOS X version of X2 uses OpenGL.
Are those preset into the device? Because each of those examples is trivially easy to do with Smart Playlists in iTunes.
This was linked up-thread, but I thought I'd repost the link here as I use one of these: Mattias TactilePro
Artios and PackEge Both are pretty niche, basically only used for packaging cad and related prepress. But vector nonetheless.

The Mini is 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 -- I used to work on a Titanium PowerBook G4 with ports that were more out of reach than those on a Mini.
Actually the first of the setup screens comes up when the startup video cuts to black, letting the music play you in to the setup process.

You don't need to re-purchase the tracks, just authorize your friend's iBook and burn the files you already have.
Partly socialized telephone system? Until the breakup, ATT was a de facto nationalized telephone system.

To match the capacity of an iPod, you'd need to buy 20, 1GB cards. That's about $1500 for media alone.
Soem day INS is going to show up at your door, looking to arrest 'Ronald' for overstaying his student visa --- all based on gorcery purchases.
