    Nice idea but it is flawed because as soon as your fork()ed experiences start having different experiences from your original experience, as well as your other experiences, they will instantly be different experiences i.e. different persons.

    Not only that, the software comes straight from the GNU FTP server. It has been around for years, but not for replacing package management systems and not "for Linux". It is designed to manage unpackaed software in locations like /usr/local.

    So now you can stop the hype and calling it lame because it's a generic GNU tool and not from IBM.

    Your subject is true but your message isn't. The fact is the dinosaurs weren't killed, they can still be found alive, eg in the White House.

    What's the point in using dll's if you use them in a single program only? Linking statically would even save the overhead of the dynamic loader.
    This is not interesting, this is ridiculous -- typically Windoze.

    This is not clutter, apart from the fact that your list includes static links and directories, about two thirds of the dll's you listed are symbolic links to versioned filenames to avoid clutter.

    You didn't have a problem for last twelve years. It's not that Saddam had become more dangerous, it's just that your bias has shifted. And Bush has taken the chance to make the points he urgently needs for his re-election. Being elected with a very small (or rather nonexistent) margin, he doesn't have much of a chance otherwise.

    The only thing I have to comment on the rest of your bellicistic rant is that I could never have imagined that someone could consider Bush left wing.

    All three have numerous names in all sorts of languages, but those are the ones used most commonly in English-speaking nations.
