They got authority through the city government. If that is the first time they saw it then they missed all the sign changes, the uniform changes, and the advertisement signs that when up with the change.
It got spread because the city of San Fransico through that nonprofit group decided to change the name and pay tax money on advertising and changing official designations to reflect that name changed.
The article did nothing to show that google did it.
If they had done any research they would have found out that the community benefit district for that area, a local government agency, had renamed the area to the East Cut over a year ago.
They spend tax money on advertising it and probably went to google to get the name to reflect what the city wanted.
This was not some sudden change caused by google, nor an example of how google is a final arbitrator of names.
it is just another daily example of how the new york times is worth for journalism and its only value is in wiping down the street of San Francisco.
That was an issue solved a while ago. The light systems for places where it snows have been redesigned to add a heat element for melting the snow. Other places that have not purchased the newer system just send crews out to clean them off.
Germany has that solved.
You have a bin for paper and plastic, and depending on that state you are in that bin will also take glass.
That trash is taken to sorting centers and it use to be that they hired the eastern Europeans to do the manual sorting now they are using the various immigrants they have been allowing in.
Cheap labor and separated recycling.
Yep, as written by someone far smarter then those here "If there was any constitutional issue resolved by the Civil War, it is that there is no right to secede."
That that might be shown in the February request for funding. However, none of that is in effect and would not be until next years funding.
It looks like it is a duplicate because no one is wanting it.
Back in February the HHS, which runs the office which runs this, released its budget request for the upcoming year. In it, they identified this as being duplicated in other governmental agencies and requested money to transfer the duties and money to different offices or agencies.
The office than in April decided to kill this database even before any of that request to kill it off was approved by Congress and divert the money they were spending on it to something else.
The article being linked to is yet another worthless opinion piece being passed off as actual journalism. The truth is no one really cares about this database and given four months for someone to come forward take it over no one has. The only reason it is being posted here is as a political hit piece.
No, you need to reread the article *lol*
They have immunity if they follow the law. If they break the law they can be arrested and charged; if they follow the law they cannot be personally sued when someone gets upset
And that article is a perfect example why people should not trust the NY Times.
Lets look at its major claims:
That Trump lied about the amount of natural gas using the numbers 60 to 70 percent : The journalist did not even try to do basic research, and kind of admits that. The numbers from eurostat are 50 to 70 percent http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/. Trump was well in range, so ignorance to the times and its readers. If anything Trump is low because he was also talking about a new pipeline still in discussion that Russia is pushing for.
That Germany is not captive of Russia: According to the Eurostat in addition to that 50 to 70 percent of natural gas Germany gets over 50 of their oil from Russia. The article then gives some opitions, I thought that was a news piece not editoral, however the new york times does not need facts. The "journalist" then ignores what happened in Ukraine when they were dependant on Russia for fuel. Also as trump said, and what he was talking about, they are planning for the new pipe which will increase the amount of energy that comes from Russia. Anyone with a free thinking mind that was in an economic condition where they were dependant on someone for 70% and they being pushed to increase that amount would say they are "have no freedom to choose alternatives" the very definition of captive.
The people complaining are not getting into student debt because of the education, they are because they want the advertised lifestyle.
In the US you can get an equivalent education to that in Germany in a similar setting, at a similar cost, we call them community colleges. However people don't want that.
Nope, the obama page would get the list of your friends. It would then target you, with that list and request that you click on a link so that a message could be sent to that friend. This is similar to all those games on faceback.
Also Trump did not illegally access the data, he hired a company which exceed the people, they would normally have which then sold services to the Trump campaign which included that data.
See the link below for the issues.
Part of the legal issues is that agreement, the link below, requiring that facebook perform actions which is being investigated to see if they broke.
the issue with Cambridge Analytica is that they had access to people who had not given consent, so breaking the FTC agreement.
What Obama's 2012 team was allowed to do by facebook was take data only from people who had consented (you logged into obama's website using your facebook account). However they were given access to data that facebook never gives to anyone else and is listed as user data that will not be distributed and was not the list of information that would be shared, so consent for some data not given. In addtion obama's team was allowed to suck that data directly from the facebook databases and then keep the data indefinitely. All of that is in violation of the FTC agreement.
He is going around pissing on his hands then shaking hands with other people. Stuff like that is sure to spread some bacteria.
So people don't go pissing on your hands before greeting people.
So what is the status of the last last chance to save the world and prevent the demise of all life on earth, the Kyoto Protocol?
Since the Paris Agreement is the follow one to the Kyoto Protocol we should be able to look back at the previous one and see why it did not save the world as we were told it would. How many countries in that made actual cuts needed to meet what they agreed to? If they cannot reach the cuts required under that agreement they must not have thought that the problem was that much of an actual issue and we can see how they act now.

He submitted the federal paperwork soon after he took office, so he currently is running for a second term.
Why do we have to bring up elizabeth warren at a time like this?

Was there five years ago. A Burger King Whopper meal cost $21 and a new bestseller hardcover was around $56.

The people making the claim think they can still get some more money from the gullible.

Start from the top, the whole thing is hate speech.
No it is because we Native American just blend in and live our lives without concern and if you did not ask most of us we would not mention it.
if you think that is bad there is a university in Texas that built its own lazy river, since then other universities have been been adding them.
