  1. I haven't read the books but the movie looks bad on Hitchhiker's Movie is Bad, says Adams Biographer · · Score: 1
I haven't read the books. I'm going to order them today, but i've seen a long trailer for the movie, and if it wasn't called Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy I would've immedately assumed it was a special effects vehicle with no substantive plot or interesting characters.

The acting did look awful. In the TV spot they don't show any acting at all just the cute visuals of earth being blown up, and other cool looking visuals. When you see the long 5ish minute trailer you get to see a lot of the acting and dear lord it was not good. This guy seems credible because my impression of the movie was that it sucked and I haven't even read the books hence I'm not close to the material at all.

  2. Wonderwoman was never that cool/popular on Joss Whedon to Write/Direct Wonder Woman · · Score: 1
Wonderwoman was never that cool or popular like batman/superman/spiderman/x-men

Daredevil bombed because it used a realatively unpopular superhero.

The Incredible Hulk bombed because of gimmicky direction, bad acting and a bad story.

Its hard to make a good superhero flick. Doing something origional is pretty tough for the popular characters because so much has already been done in the comic books.

This will bomb, and I feel bad for whoever is cast as wonderwoman. I doubt their carrer will recover from such a stunning setback.

This is an issue that is too important to leave to congress. I want to get in trouble for blogging linking to websites. This law will be challenged in court.

What is the dollar value of talking to your friends about the election? What about standing on the street corner plugging your candidate? Those signs that people love to have in their lawn, how much is that advertising space worth?

If you wanted to be a complete prick you could assign a value to wearing a button and wearing a t-shirt with candidates names on them.

This is just another prime example of how we are losing our rights slowly.

  17. Regulating/taxing VoIP is a bad bad thing on Federal Appeals Court Sides With VoIP Providers · · Score: 4, Insightful

VoIP is just data packets being sent back and forth on the internet. There is no real difference between a VoIP packet and one of your favorite website. Allowing the government to apply regulations to a specific kind of traffic is the start of a VERY VERY nasty slope. The government should not be able to apply taxes to VoIP because it is just data being sent over the internet.
