I carry around: One cell phone, one mp3-player and from time to time one camera. And then I'm still missing a PDA. All of these could be integrated into one device, and that's exactly what is happening. I don't see why people are all upset and "I just want it to make calls". I bet most slashdotters carry around at least three different devices.
Besides, the more stuff they crank into one device, the cheaper the basic-version will get.
Totaly agree with parent. I have a friend who has got a 100/100 connection to internet. I myself use my wifi at a daily basis for streaming movies to my laptop. From time to time I copy large files between laptop and workstation, and a bit faster connection wouldn't hurt in those moments.
(yes, I know, 11Mbit is enough for streaming movies. But maybe I would like to do it while I'm copying all my huge files!:) )
I think you're missing a point here. The point is that there is no way for a single player to get as good equipment as one playing in 40 man raids will get. And that's because blizzard has put all good drops on bosses which you cannot manage yourself.
Having some 1 man instances with as good drops wouldn't be such a bad idea, imho.
The time > skills is harder though, since obviusly you get more gold and good drops if you play more. And it's not really true that skills doesn't get you anywhere in wow. You could be a skilled economic, and spend time in auction house buying cheap stuff and selling them back for a higer price. On the other hand, most guilds take attendance in raids, and you get equipment depending on your attendance. So you can be a lousy player with a lot of attendance and get all the good gear, while a much more skilled player (with less attendance) who is contributing a lot more to a specific raid wouldn't get as much good drops. But that is nothing blizzard has come up with, but the player community.
I play world of warcraft using cedega, and it works fine. Of course, I'm sure I would have gotten a higher fps in windows, but then again, an average of 27 fps in enough for me.
The camera-module is removable. No solding required. Just open the phone and unplug the module. At least that is the case on their T610 and nearby models. Good luck.
That is why you'll have to make the gramar checker "aware" of our world. If it had the knowladge of fruits not having wings, it would be easy for it to "understand" that the word "flies" should be a combined noun with "fruit".
I do backups with dar http://dar.linux.free.fr/ on my sever system and on my workstation. The server copy I send to my workstation with scp, and the workstation copy I send to my server. Both are checked with an md5sum when they arrive to ensure they came to the other side without corruption or lost bytes.
The chanses for both systems to break at the same time is kind of slim. Unless of course a case of fire occurs. But then I've got bigger problems then lost data to care about.
Do as the lectures at my school, take a picture of the paper with a digicam, import the image as a gif, and put it in a MS Word document. Only ~20Mb / doc-file. The dail-up users loves it!;)
There are always some stupid people on direct connect who share their entire game-dirs. So a little search for nwncdkey.ini (or whatever the exp.packs key is called) would fix that problem.
Not very nice though, so I wouldn't recommend it. It's a good game, and they have spent a lot of work to get a linux-version of it too. So just buy it:)

It may not necessarily be that slasdot has devolved, but that other sites has gotten better (and more importantly: more in numbers).

Not everyone. ... who then distributed the losses by raising rates on health, auto, and home insurance.
And since everyone, as in everybody (or at least almost everybody), pays health, auto and home insurance, everyone got burnt.

But hey, 10 processes are using 10%...
...they obviously need more developers developers developers!
...they would find the gene for quad damage too.

You can download the cvs-version for free. But you woun't get the directx-support, iirc.

yup, and I reckon RISC is the future.
It's got a PCI bus too, but then I'm sure you knew that.

No longer are the artists needed, it's just to generate some random noice, check it with the algorythm and see if it will be a hit or not.
