Maybe we'll get a cameo from "Billy and the Boingers" I still have the plastic 45 record that came with the like titled book. Maybe Opus will sing some more of "The Police". Every move you make.... Every, uh, leaf you rake... Every dog you wake... Every herring you bake... I'll be watching yooou...
Would an anti virus program and/or fire wall (I use Norton) catch/stop this. I manually ok all programs that try to access the net or act as server, but only if I know or can find out what the program is.
I hate telemarketing as much as the next person and am glad to see this list. But I am a satellite Dish installer, I work for a co. that subcontracts for about a dozen different companies. Our biggest client is a telemarketing firm, they probably supply about 25% of our jobs. I would hate to lose that much business. The one thing I repeatedly hear from their customers is "I have been thinking of doing this (get Satellite) for a while now". It seems some people need a push or are too lazy to go the story and check things out.
I am not sure where you got your figures but with enough displacement there is no limit to the height of a wave. I have seen numerous Discovery channel shows on waves and a 1500 ft wave was recorded after a massive land slide not all that long ago. Also as a wave approaches the shore its height grows dramatically and waves of 1000+ ft are possible.

I have PVR as part of my Dish network service (Dish M#501). I don't pay a penny extra for it. Everyone is right, It is awsome, changes the way you watch TV. I miss it anytime I am watching a set that doesn't have it. I recorded the entire final season of DBZ for... a... my kids! ya thats it! to watch. Skip over comercials in about 2-3 secs. How did I live w/o it?
I didn't get in in time to read article but one thing in the Matrix that always sounded backwards to me was the first time Neo hooks up and enters "The Construct" Morpheos says this is a "Mental projection of his digital self" but isn't that backwards? "Digital projection of his mental self" sounds better to me.
I am so happy to hear this. I still to this day can't hear "Every breath you take" without thinking of Opus singing "Every leaf you rake, Every dog you wake, Every Herring you bake. God I loved and missed Bloom County.
I have a copy of Doom2-95. It was released well after the original and designed to run on Win 95 etc. It was updated and ran at 640X480! It wasn't free but it was fun to play again. Kept forgetting you couldn't jump though:).
I have always thought the vegetarian episode with the Paul & Linda Mccartney Cameo at the end (Don't know title) was the funniest episode ever, and was suprised not to see it in the list. The flying pig and Apu singing "Maybe I'm amazed" were classic.
I disassemble my old drives. The Magnet makes one hell of a good Refrigerator magnet and the discs make good pocket mirrors for wife or frisbies for kids.
I have a Geforce 3 (original), Duron 1200 & 256MB ram. I can't think of a game that needs more than that. (I get 60-80 FPS in UT at 1280X1024) I built this whole computer for less than the new 9700. Again, Why should I upgrade???
I have tried hard to use Linux at home. I have been a computer enthusiast since i got my first Atari 800 then C64, Amiga 500, and countless PC's with windows 3.0 95,98 & XP. I build computers, and am the guys all my friend/family call with computer probs. I ran Mandrake then Red Hat on a couple computers in dual boot. I like it a lot. But tring to install anything (programs, drivers etc) is or can be extrememly difficult. With windows you double click the exe file and thats it. The instructions for some Linux program instalations read like rocket science. I get such a headache trying to figure it out I just end up going back to Windows. To the average PC user they could never figure that stuff out.
Almost everyday I play UT (and others) with my cable modem w/ pings under 100. What do they have that I don't? The whole world of broadbanders is my lan party!
Really? 2 TRS OLD! Did you even have a GUI back then? I am writing this on my 5+ yr old PII 266, I could be using my 486-66 thats in the closet(dont ask why). I hope you can do more than post with yours.
I am a Satellite Dish installer, Both Dish, Directv, Starband and Direcway. As posted numurous times the latency SUCKs with either.(I use cable for internet) The only thing it is better than dialup is if you do a lot of large downloads. It can have fairly fast speeds, I usually see between 400-1000kbps. But there are more problems than just that. Direcway is worse but both seem to create lots of computer problems that aren't covered by there wtty. We have stopped selling Direcway because almost every customer will call in w/in the 1st couple months with problems. Installation of any number of software programs can mess up the system (ie antivirus, Norton anything, etc..) We roll out and verify that the Sat system is fine and tell the customer they need to see a computer tech.(we supply some techs for them to contact) The customer always gets mad, its just ugly. Youd be better of with a 33.6 for gameing. I recommend not to get one.
Gohan and/or Goku would kick the crap out of all of them. There power is way beyond even Supermans. Hit Superman with a Kamehameha 4 wave and he would probably disintegrate.
Hasn't anyone heard that Jiminy Glick commercial???
FABRICATOR!!

God I missed Opus.
God made the universe and will end it of course. Didn't you know all science is wrong unless it agrees with the Bible!

NEO: Whoa. Deja vu.
/. article said "Unix-Haters Handbook Available Online" and then I saw another that looked just like it.
/. article?
TRINITY: What did you just say?
NEO: Nothing. Just had a little deja vu.
TRINITY: What happened? What did you see?
NEO: A
TRINITY: How much like it? Was it the same
NEO: It might have been. I'm not sure.
NEO: What is it?
TRINITY: A deja vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when CmdrTaco doesn't check previous posts!

Red Green has got to be a sponsor for this.
It doesn't matter what you use, the answer is 42.

Finally an answer for #2.
1) Collect Underpants.
2) Clean dookie from underpants of driver after 745i shifts into reverse on freeway.
3) Profit!

Actually they are in a "Geostationary" orbit, The same as sat. tv. Geosynchronous has more of an elliptical orbit.
